Per Dr Ottah Agbo Yesterday, in my office, I was privileged to be appointed the Patron of National Association of Idoma Students (NAIS), an umbrella association of all Idoma Students world wide.
According to them, after a painstaking search, they unanimously selected me because in their words I have "broken many ceiling glasses" and become the positive topic of discussion on "the lips of every well meaning Idoma person..."

They thanked me, and as well, reminded me of how I rescued Idoma Students from Federal Universities of Jos and Wukari when crises burst in these schools. They also appreciated me for initiating the free SSC/ NECO and JAMB registration for interested Enone youths as well as the award of scholarships to many indigent students in Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo Federal Constituency. NAIS was led to my office by its National President, Comrade Pius Atungwu

I thanked the students profusely for their kind words. I wholeheartedly accepted the nomination. I was excited at their visit not because being a patron is a big deal but the fact that the students considered me worthy of being their patron at a period that I am at the departure lounge of the National Assembly.

I took advantage of their visit to reel out our modest achievements in four years. To my consternation, the students have been following our trajectory so much so, that they reminded me of many other achievements we have recorded, but which I forgot to mention!
I charged them to hold governments and particularly elected officials and appointed public servants in Benue South accountable to the people on whose hands, power lies!

I urged the students to shun drug abuse and join the global war against Narcotic trafficking and consumption of dangerous drugs. I also assured them of my readiness to mentor them as requested. Surely, my nomination as NAIS patron will spur me to do more for my people through my foundation: the Enayi Ottah Foundation even as I exit the hollowed Green Chamber on June 13!

All is set for the distribution of palliative and cash to the victims of the recent attacks in Agatu, Apa and Otukpo LGAs of Benue State.

Member representing Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Narcotics Drugs, Dr Francis Ottah Agbo , through his NGO, Enayi Ottah Foundation would be visiting the IDPs in the 3 LGAs today with food items, motorcycles and cash, to cushion the effect of the pains of the people.

The passengers in the Pleasure travel bus are very much safe as another vehicle rammed into them while trying to maneuver from the scene.

OBI OTUKPO CRISIS: HON FRANCIS AGBO OTTAH CALLS FOR PEACE AND DONATE RELIEVED MATERIALS TO VICTIMS

As mono-ethnic group with common interest, peaceful coexistence is paramount as we are known for unity, togetherness, oneness and love overtime among ourselves.

The crises between Obi Local Government Area of Benue State And Otukpo is very pathetic. Currently, people are finding it very difficult to make a living moreless of such tragedic incident that led to damages and destruction of properties.

The Honourable member representing Ado, Ogbadibo and Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Honourable Francis Ottah Agbo sued for peace among the two communities and appealed to them to embrace the spirit of brotherliness bond rather than belligerence . The Honourable member also used the opportunity to pay visit to Very Rev. father Onmoke at ST. Paulinus of Nola ogbodo Iyeche in Oju local Government and met some of the displaced victims there where he made donations of cash and food items to them to help them through the difficult time

He further informed them that he have spoken with Honourable Lady Blessing Onuh the Honourable member representing Otukpo Ohimini and Honourable Samson Okwu the Honourable member representing Obi/Oju to look into the electricity issue and bring a lasting solution. He in thesame vain Called on Idoma prominent sons and daughters to Come to the rescue of victims whose houses have been burnt. PDP replaces Ayu, names Acting Chair

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has replaced its suspended National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu with one of his deputies, Amb Umar Damagum.

Damagum, who was the Deputy National Chairman (North), will occupy the seat in an acting capacity pending the determination of the substantive suit restraining Ayu from parading himself as National Chairman.

A Benue High Court sitting in Makurdi on Monday ordered Ayu to step aside following a suit filed by his Igyorov Council Ward in Gboko local government area, Benue State.

The Ward Executive Committee suspended Ayu for alleged anti-party activities and failing to pay his membership dues.

COURT RESTRAINS AYU FROM PARADING HIMSELF AS PDP CHAIRMAN

A Benue State High Court sitting in Makurdi on Monday restrained Dr. Iyorchia Ayu from parading himself as the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Court gave the order while ruling on an ex-parte application brought by a member of the party in Benue State, Engr. Conrad Terhide Utaan,through his counsel Mike Assoh.

Justice Wilfred Kpochi, in a ruling ordered Ayu to stop parading himself as the national chairman of the PDP, having lost membership of the party, pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice already filed.

He accordingly adjourned the matter to April 17,2023,for hearing of the substantive suit.

It will be recalled that Ayu was last week suspended by the PDP ward executive of his Igyorov ward of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, after passing a vote of no confidence on Dr. Ayu.

In suit No MHC/85/2023,filed by Utaan, Dr. Ayu is the first defendant while the PDP is the second defendant.

The suit seeks among other reliefs a declaration that, Dr. Ayu is no longer fit and qualified to hold office as the national chairman of the PDP, having lost membership of the party in his Igyorov Council Ward of Gboko, where he first registered as a member of the party.

It also seeks a declaration that Ayu cannot hold himself out, function and preside over the affairs of the PDP as its national chairman having seized to enjoy all the rights and privileges of membership by virtue of his suspension by the ward executive committee of the party in his Igyorov Council Ward of Gboko Local Government where he use to be a member of the party.

It further seeks an order restraining Ayu from parading himself as the national chairman of the PDP having lost membership of the party, amongst other reliefs.
