The moment my mother in-law became so quiet watching me say goodbye to my other inlaws I really felt it deep down😔.
In her mind right now (Wan Angi) why not stay longer 🤷🏻😢

I just had to make her smile in my own way

I got married December 5th 2015 3months to my graduation 🎓
Went for service 2016, before service my husband was in Gboko Benue State. He will often said to me, make sure u do change of Name as soon as possible so u can serve in my location seriously I thought the guy was joking 😃, but something happened he left back to Jalingo where I was with his family members.
Story short I actually did the change of Name from Faith Angi to Naorti faith Jonathan but I never wanted to serve in Taraba so i chose Kaduna as my preferred place of service ( NYSC) remember as a married woman if u are bearing ur husband's name u will stand the chance to serve where he is.
Yes hubby was not in Kaduna but I chosed KD because I really wanted to go for my NYSC in KD hoping for a fresh experience🫣, hmmm my G no trust me ooo he picked my phone logged in to the portal without my knowledge and changed Kaduna to taraba Jalingo 🤣🤣🤣,
So the following day I went to the computer guy so we could finish and submit the registration form I never even know what I was thinking the guy actually asked me to go through it again but I was so sure and told him to submit, people of God it was after they issued the printout to me that I discovered what baba did to me 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Na so I miss my chance for serving in Kaduna oo 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻.

Who's an AFRICAN WOMAN to her inlaws and kitchen?

An African woman often plays a vital role in her family and community. In the context of her kitchen responsibilities and service to her in-laws:

Kitchen Responsibilities:

1. Cooking meals for her family
2. Preparing traditional dishes
3. Managing household food supplies
4. Preserving food for future use

Service to In-Laws:

1. Showing respect and care
2. Cooking for them
3. Assisting with household chores
4. Contributing to family gatherings and celebrations

These roles vary across cultures and communities, but they often reflect the importance of family, community, and tradition in African village life.

Some women have never in their many years of marriage touch a pot or faced the smoke in their mother in-laws kitchen not to talk of washing their clothes.

Should we blame Education or civilization?

Many women find it uncomfortable to even spend just a weekend in their in-laws place
Just because they found them selves in the city with their Men.

And some of these ladies are also coming from poor homes.
Pls my fellow women is not actually a bad idea to at least spend weekend with ur in-laws once in a while and give them that daughter and mother in-law services, don't wait until they visit u in the city before u will even sit and direct ur house help to cook for them.
Do it by ur self.
Believe me the feeling is sweet.
Not every mother or father in-law is a witch🤷🏻
Some are good and a blessing to u.

And believe me i love it when my in-laws eat and showerd me with blessings even if the smoke makes me uncomfortable I will constantly remind myself that Mama Jay this is just for a moment u will soon go back.
And what about the women who's lives ends here?
I encourage you to do same if u have not been doing it.
That is why when ever am in the village I do these things happily 💃🏻.

I invested 150k in melon farming and harvested 8 bags after 4-5 months. I highly encourage you to consider investing in farming, whether it's crops or livestock. Farming can be a rewarding business, and you can start small, just like I did. I've never regretted investing in farming.
U can farm for business not just for consumption. we have been doing this for years

My husband and I are in to casava large farming too.
Should In case u want to investe or buy a large casava already planted farm pls DM me.
We have people here who plant and sales for business.
Don't just depend on ur salary
Invest in other things too.
Though every busses and investment has its own risk, but that shouldn't discourage you from investing.

My little in-laws were sad when I told them I'd be leaving for the city soon. But I quickly turned their frowns upside down by making the youngest one the videographer!
His name is Akaa AKA Tudu so little but smart 🤓
Their faces lit up, and it filled my heart with joy. I'm really enjoying my stay in the village and loving the bond I have with the kids - they always seem to be glued to me, camera or not! 😊📸.
After watching the video and Tudu the videographer couldn't find himself in the video he said Aunty hence I didn't appear in this video u all are not even looking good 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
Wait ooo...

Is like I heard one of them said to Tudu, u tondo Aunty tyo 🤣 🤣 🫣.

Even some of the children the parents tag isolated children are always glue to me.
Well, I think is because I learned how to bring my self down to their level and always ready to create communication with them.
