My Condolences and Clarification
Hello "Shamimi Anase,"
I hope this message finds you well.
I woke up yesterday to a very disturbing post on your page. I was even more shocked, disappointed, and ashamed to see that the untimely death of your dear friend and sister, Doosuurshater, has been linked to my wife, Loveth Orva, and her illicit affair with Sefa Awen.
I only knew Sefa briefly when he was contracted to serve as a judge and facilitator for my company’s program, the Benue Speaking Contest. My interactions with him were strictly work-related and professional, so I cannot comment on his character outside those limited encounters. Since my wife coordinated the program, she naturally interfaced with him more often than I was aware of. I just discovered their complicated relationship had trapped them in their respective marriages, and that an honest conversation would have averted tragedy. This is very unbecoming of the woman I married, who claimed to be an esteemed educator, mother, God fearing, and praying wife who led praise in churches. Even though this hurt me deeply, as the mother of my kids, I have extended "grace" and compassion to her to allow for forgiveness, healing and restitution.
I trusted my wife to conduct herself with dignity as a married woman and a mother, and I had no reason to suspect otherwise. Whenever I visited Nigeria and saw them in my presence, everything appeared normal. If I had noticed or known of any misconduct, I would have intervened immediately. I do not condone disrespect,disloyalty, betrayal, or unruly behavior of any kind.
I must also note that Sefa presented himself to me as someone who respected my achievements, values and tenacity, and in the few encounters we had, I related with him accordingly.
Please know that I am deeply hurt and shocked by all of this—and even more so that an innocent life was lost in the process.
For the sake of humanity and common decency, I am reaching out to let you know that I share in your pain, hurt, and sense of betrayal. I commiserate with you over the tragic passing of your beloved friend and sister, Doosuurshater. This is a loss we all wish could have been avoided, but we take solace in the belief that God knows best.
May God comfort you, her family, and all who mourn her. I pray that all perpetrators of evil and harm against innocent people receive the pun!shment they deserve, and that God heals our hearts from this pa!n and grief.
