HON. CHIKYAA PAYS LAST RESPECTS TO LATE PASTOR AONDOAVER MOSES IWAR

The Executive Chairman of Konshisha Local Government Area, Hon. Terfa Moses Chikyaa, yesterday joined eminent sons and daughters of Konshisha, family members, friends, associates, political leaders, and sympathisers to bid a final farewell to Late Pastor Aondoaver Moses Iwar, who was laid to rest at his country home in Mbagben, Agbede, Gaav, Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State.
Speaking during the funeral ceremony, Hon. Chikyaa described the late cleric as a devoted servant of God, a patriotic community leader, and an apostle of peace whose life reflected humility, integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the service of God and humanity.
He noted that Pastor Iwar's remarkable legacy of faith, unity, and selfless service would continue to inspire the present and future generations of Konshisha people.
The Chairman observed that the passing of the revered cleric is not only a painful loss to his immediate family but also to the entire Gaav community, Konshisha Local Government Area, and the Christian community at large.
He urged the bereaved family to draw strength from the exemplary life lived by the deceased and remain steadfast in the values of love, righteousness, and sacrifice that he upheld throughout his lifetime.
Hon. Chikyaa further reaffirmed his administration's commitment to promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development across Konshisha, stressing that only a united and God-fearing people can build the prosperous society envisioned for future generations.
He encouraged the people to honour the memory of the late pastor by fostering peaceful coexistence, supporting one another, and contributing meaningfully to community development.
He extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family, particularly AIG Austin Iornongu Iwar (Rtd.), the church, and the entire people of Gaav, praying that Almighty God grants them divine comfort, strength, and the grace to bear the irreparable loss.
He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed.
The Executive Chairman was accompanied by the former Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hon. Kunde Aondowase; Hon. Tashan Godwin; Mr. Iornem Jacob Benedict Terver; Hon.
