*GOD IS TOO GOOD*

*AROME E. TOKULA*

*Matthew 5:44-45*
*44 But I say to you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS THOSE WHO CURSE YOU, DO GOOD TO THOSE WHO HATE YOU, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,*
*45 that you MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.*

Some years ago, I was brooding on this scripture when the Spirit said to me, “Do you think that God will ask you to do what He doesn’t do? The answer of course is No! This is one thing we have often overlooked in this Scripture. God will not ask us to do what He will not do Himself. We have been wrongly taught that God will only bless those who bless Him and that He only does good to those who do good!

According to today’s text, we know God that would LOVE, BLESS and DO GOOD to those who hate, curse and spite Him.

God doesn’t bless or do good to us because of what we do but because of WHO He is. The _Message_ translation says, _*“... This is what God does.”*_

Understanding the goodness of God towards you despite your performance is the foundation of solid faith in God. If you don't know the character of God, it becomes very difficult to effectively serve Him or even receive anything from Him. God’s goodness means that He doesn’t look at you to do you good because today’s text says that He gives rain and sunshine to both the good and the bad. If He doesn’t look at men’s goodness to give them rain or sunshine, then be rest assured that He is not looking at your performance as His child to give you anything!

The peak of God’s goodness was demonstrated at the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus when He gave His Son as the sacrifice to pay for all your wrongdoings so that you can freely receive everything that you need. 2 Peter 1:3 says, _*“According to his divine power hath GIVEN UNTO US ALL THINGS that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue...”*_ It is His divine power - not our physical effort - that has given you all - not some - things. This divine power was demonstrated in the resurrection of Jesus (Ephesians 1:19, 20).

Whatever you desire today - healing, finances, a new job, a car, promotion, a business opportunity, just name it - I want you to know that it has been provided for you in the sacrifice of Jesus and all you have to do to have it is to start believing that if He loved you enough to give you Jesus, then He is withholding nothing from you and you shall have it (Mark 11:24; Romans 8:32).

Stop looking at your performance today and start seeing God as a good Father through what He has done for you in Christ Jesus! He is indeed so good, and faith begins by believing this profound truth which is God’s goodness.

|| *I thank You Father that all I will ever need has been provided in the finished works of Jesus. Today as I step out in faith, I believe I receive and enjoy God’s goodness because of what Jesus has done for me.* ||

*PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT*

*1 Corinthians 14:18*
*18 I thank my God I SPEAK WITH TONGUES more than you all;*

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 says, _*“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE him. THESE ARE THE THINGS GOD has REVEALED to us BY HIS SPIRIT. The SPIRIT SEARCHES ALL THINGS, even the deep things of God.”*_

There are ‘things’ that are prepared for you in Jesus’ finished work and they have been kept *‘FROM’* the world and preserved *‘FOR’.* These things are however REVEALED to you by the *HOLY GHOST.* The Holy Spirit is your greatest advantage in life and He is your spiritual ‘GPRS’ to everything that is yours! This is why you must depend on Him.

Truth is, you are a revelation from anything that you will ever need in this life! Everything that concerns your life has been finished since the creation of the world and that includes your job, your career, your life partner etc. God is not about to prepare anything for you that He hasn’t already prepared.

To access these things, however, you need your spirit man to be attuned to the Holy Ghost. And you attune your spirit to the Spirit of God when you spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. When you pray in the Spirit by speaking in tongues, the necessary wisdom, insight, and revelation for any occasion is released through your spirit into your mind (which is our understanding). This is when you know and see what others do not see. You proffer simple solutions to complex situations and everybody around you wonders why they never thought of it.

When you look at the life of Apostle Paul and the kind of results that he got in life you will understand why in our text he says, _*“I thank God that I speak in tongues MORE THAN ALL OF YOU”*_ (1 Corinthians 14:18). The Apostle was always in sync with the Holy Ghost because he spent more time praying in the Spirit. The Message translation puts it this way, _*“I'm grateful to God for the gift of PRAYING IN TONGUES that he gives us for praising him, which LEADS TO WONDERFUL INTIMACIES we enjoy with him. I ENTER INTO THIS AS MUCH OR MORE THAN ANY OF YOU.”*_

The Holy Ghost will REVEAL and RELEASE the THINGS that are 'hidden' FOR you! Rather than trying to always manipulate people and things, you can pray in tongues and enjoy a life of ease cruising in the Spirit. Set out time daily for protracted periods of praying in the Holy Ghost and allow the wisdom of God to direct you. God has prepared a lot of good things for you in 2025, and you can access them supernaturally spending time praying in the Holy Ghost!

*DECLARE*

|| *Thank You Father the wonderful gift of the Person of the Holy Ghost and the joy of praying in other tongues. I will rest and cruise in the supernatural by praying in the Holy Ghost as I speak in other tongues. I supernaturally receive all the things that have been prepared for me in Jesus name.* ||

*LIFTED INTO GOD’S CLASS*

*John 20:17*
*17 Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER, to MY GOD AND YOUR GOD.’”*

Did you know that the day you heard and believed the gospel of Jesus and confessed Him as your Lord and savior, you were brought into God's class. It was a spiritual upgrade! Today you can confidently say that Jesus' Father is your Father and His God is your God! It is good to know that God doesn’t love Jesus more than He loves you.

When you allow this become your reality, the Words of Jesus will come alive in you to walk and talk like Him. Jesus boldly declared in John 10:30, _*“I and My Father are one.”*_ Like Jesus, you can also boldly say, “I and My Father are one!”

Understanding that you have been brought into God’s class, will cause you to function in this earth realm as God’s child. Like Jesus, you will speak to waves and storms, and they will obey you because you have been called to live the above and beyond life.

As much as you are a disciple of Jesus, you are first His brother and friend and as a son of God, the Father’s life flows through your vein today. Jesus declared in John 15:5; _*“I am THE VINE, YOU are the BRANCHES. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”*_ Glory to God!

The same life that is in the vine is same life in the branch! You have the same life that Jesus has. With this life, you can and should live supernaturally. When Jesus said, _*“… WITHOUT ME you can DO NOTHING…”*_ He was saying that without this life, you can’t anything meaningful in this world but through this life you can do all things!

As a believer you have been given the same position of authority as Jesus before God! Ephesians 2:6 says, _*“And RAISED us up TOGETHER, and MADE US SIT TOGETHER in the HEAVENLY PLACES in Christ Jesus.”*_ You have been raised from that old mundane life of sin and defeat to a life of victory! This is something worth shouting about!

Few days before Jesus’ resurrection He had moved their status from ‘servants’ to ‘friend’ (John 15:15) but after His resurrection He gives them ‘family’ status! According to our text, when the disciples met Jesus on resurrection morning, He said to them to go report to the other disciples and tell them, _*“… Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER, to MY GOD AND YOUR GOD.’”*_

There are no limitations today, only endless opportunities, a boundless life, divine ideas, and supernatural results! Everything works for you in Jesus name.

|| *I am a child of God! I have been raised from that old mundane life of sin and defeat to a life of victory! His life flows through my veins and I am seated with Him in glory all because of what Jesus has done for me. I rule and reign in life over sin, sickness, poverty, death and defeat because I am the child of the Most High! Glory to God!* ||

*PUT IT IN JESUS’ HANDS*

*Luke 9:16 (MSG)*
*16 He took the five loaves and two fish, lifted his face to heaven in prayer, BLESSED, broke, and gave the bread and fish to the disciples to hand out to the crowd.*

Like Jesus, resources can multiply in your hands. The Bible says that Jesus lifted that little boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish to heaven in prayer and ‘blessed’ it!

The word _bless_ means to _give thanks._ Be thankful to God for what He has given you because you can’t complain or murmur your way up! Thank Him for that job that you have. If you are a volunteer in an establishment, be grateful to Him that you have an opportunity to volunteer and contribute to that establishment. It is no different when we give our offerings and sow our seeds. Be thankful! See the anointing of God coming upon it to multiply it.

When you spend quality time in prayer daily looking at the sacrifice of Jesus and lifting whatever you have – it could be a business, career, a project, a seed – to God, the supernatural power and ability of God will come upon it to multiply it. It will amaze you what God will do with what you yield to Him.

Alvin Slaughter sang, “What’s that you have in your hands, I can use it if you’re willing to lose it.”

The beauty of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is that whatever we have comes from Him. 1 Corinthians 4:7 (MSG) says, _*“… Isn't EVERYTHING YOU HAVE and EVERYTHING YOU ARE SHEER GIFTS from God?”*_ Our callings, abilities, talents, and even material things are all ‘sheer gifts’ from God. They are nothing that we worked for!

These things that have been given to you can increase and become a major blessing to many if you learn to put them in God’s hands. Whatever God gives you remains yours until you willingly lift it to Him. God lays no forceful claim on anything He gives you unless you yield it to Him. Peter told Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5:4 (MSG), _*“… Before you sold it, it was all yours, and after you sold it, THE MONEY WAS yours TO DO WITH AS YOU WISHED.”*_ Peter wanted them to know that they didn’t have to lie because the land and the proceeds were theirs even though everything comes from God! It’s your volition what to do with what God gives you.

What we often overlook in the miraculous multiplication of the bread and fish is the willingness of the ‘little’ boy to yield his 5 loaves and 2 fish into the hands of Jesus! (John 6:9). He took what He had and placed them in Jesus’ hands and after his lunch fed five thousand men besides women and children, the bible says there were twelve leftover baskets of whole bread and fish that weren’t touched (Luke 9:17). Who do you think got the twelve baskets? The boy of course! His lunch wasn’t little anymore! Nothing that you yield to God by putting in Jesus’ hands ever remains small.

*DECLARE*

|| *I am grateful for every opportunity you have given me in life. I refuse to complain and murmur. In faith and thanksgiving, I put my five loaves and two fish in Jesus’ hands and I rejoice. Thank You, Father, for increase because little always becomes much when it is in your Hands.* ||

*NO GENERATIONAL CURSES IN CHRIST*

*AROME E. TOKULA*

*John 9:1, 2*
*1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was BLIND FROM BIRTH.*
*2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, WHO SINNED, this man or his parents, that HE WAS BORN BLIND?*

Under the Old Testament, sin was paid for either by the one who sinned or by someone else. The clause upon which the Old Testament hung demanded that people paid for their sins. When Moses was given the Law, this is what God told him in Exodus 34:6, 7, _*“... ‘The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, BY NO MEANS CLEARING THE GUILTY, VISITING THE INIQUITY OF THE FATHERS UPON THE CHILDREN and the CHILDREN’S CHILDREN to THE THIRD and THE FOURTH GENERATION.”*_

A curse is the direct consequence of breaking the Law and the effect of a sin can be visited upon generations. This is the origin of generational curses! Notice that the punishment required by the Law of Moses is not based on ‘who’ God is because He is merciful, kind, forgiving, abounding in goodness and truth but the Law *requires* that the guilty *cannot* be cleared without requite punishment.

That is why Jesus was asked by His disciples when He came to the man that was born blind, _*“... who sinned?”*_ The Law had taught them that the punishment for sin can be passed from one generation to the other. Jesus’ answer in John 9:3, _*“... “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that THE WORKS OF GOD should be revealed in him,”*_ is significant. God was using this man’s case to reveal ‘His’ good works.

What is God’s work? It is the grace of God which we enjoy today because of the finished ‘works’ of Jesus on the cross. Hebrews 4:3 says, _*“... the works were finished from the FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD,”*_ and Revelations 13:8 makes us know that the Lamb was slain from the foundations of the world; thus, God’s work is the Lamb slain. The slain Lamb is the basis of the New Covenant and in this New Covenant; sin has been fully paid for!

Today the clause upon which this New Covenant hangs can be found Hebrews 8:12: _*“For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWLESS DEEDS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.”*_ This is the covenant God has today with the believer in Christ Jesus. Jesus healed that blind man without trouble shooting for sin because He brought the grace of God to humanity! God wasn’t punishing the man for the sin of his fathers; He was rather revealing His glory!

Even today, God no longer visits the iniquities of the fathers on the children because Jesus has fully paid for them. There are no generational curses on any child of God today. You are blessed because of Jesus. Look completely to Him today as the full price for whatever wrong done in your lineage and become everything His Word says you are. You are free!

*DECLARE*

|| *In Christ Jesus I have become a member of God’s family and every curse is broken in the name of Jesus. I boldly declare that I am free of every generational curse because the consequences fully came upon Jesus. I am blessed and walking in the fullness of the blessing of God upon my life in Jesus name.* ||

_God no longer visits the iniquities of the fathers on the children because Jesus has fully paid for them._

*GET SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING*

*Colossians 1:9*
*9 For this reason, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the KNOWLEDGE of HIS WILL in all WISDOM and SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING.*

1 John 5:13 says, _*“These things I have WRITTEN TO YOU who believe in the name of the Son of God, that YOU MAY KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."*_ As a child of God, you have eternal in you as a present reality! The reason you have God's written Word is so that you will know what you have! It is the Word of God that gives you the understanding to function with and make manifest this life.

Paul in Philemon 1:6 (AMP) prayed, _*“… that the sharing of your faith may become effective and powerful because of your ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE of EVERY GOOD THING which is OURS IN CHRIST."*_ The forgiveness of sins, healing, health, prosperity, and protection... which are yours in Christ are made manifest as you function with accurate knowledge.

With knowledge comes understanding by the Spirit of God! This why Paul’s letters never contained prayers for houses, cars, businesses, etc. His prayer always was that God will give the believer understanding because all that they need or will ever need has been given to them in salvation.

With the right understanding of spiritual things, any believer can manifest and enjoy abundance! Proverbs 20:5 says, _*“A plan (motive, wise counsel) in the heart of a man is LIKE WATER IN A DEEP WELL, but a MAN OF UNDERSTANDING draws it out.”*_ What this means is that anything that is in a man's spirit can be brought to the physical through understanding. The difference between two believers is the understanding of scriptures that they function in.

In our text in Colossians 1:9, Paul prayed that the church will be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. The reason was because their understanding will determine their quality of walk and effectiveness in life! No wonder the next verse says, _*“That you might WALK WORTHY of the LORD to all pleasing, being FRUITFUL in EVERY WORK...”*_ (Colossians 1:10). You are more fruitful when you have better understanding!

Jesus in Luke 8:18 (AMPC) taught, _*“Be careful therefore how you listen. For to him who has [SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE] will MORE be GIVEN …”*_

The key to having more (abundance) is having knowledge and understanding of God's Word. An abundant life of health and prosperity is not in a government plan, job, profession, or geographical location, it is found in God's Word. With spiritual knowledge you will always have more!

Give attention to God's Word and through the Spirit of God discover all that is yours in Christ Jesus today because no time spent with God’s Word is ever a waste!

|| *Thank you, Father, for all that is mine in Christ Jesus. As I look into your Word, my eyes are open to see. I receive understanding and I'm living a productive and prosperous life in Jesus’ Name.* ||

*YOUR MIGHTY HELPER*

*AROME E. TOKULA*

*John 16:7*
*7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to YOUR ADVANTAGE that I go away; for if I do not go away, THE HELPER will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.*

For about three years the disciples of Jesus had the most amazing times of their lives walking with Jesus. They saw all the miracles, healings and all the time He always came through for them! Jesus was of immense help to them! He was their comforter and deliverer, but He had to depart to the Father.

He said to them in John 16:5-6, _*"But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?' 6 But because I have said these things to you, SORROW HAS FILLED YOUR HEART.”*_ When Jesus told His disciples about going back to the Father, they were sad because of who He was to them but then He told them, _*“… It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, THE HELPER will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.”*_

Jesus introduced the ministry of the Holy Ghost as a Helper because the Holy Ghost is with us today to ‘help’ just as Jesus was a helper to the disciples. In John 14:16-17 Jesus says, _*“16 … I will pray the Father, and He will give you ANOTHER HELPER, that He may ABIDE with you FOREVER—17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He DWELLS WITH YOU and WILL BE IN YOU.”*_ The Holy Ghost isn’t just WITH us, the Bible says that He is IN us. He is our indwelling Mighty Helper!

When your eyes are opened as a believer to know who the Holy Ghost is in you, you will never be stranded or confused another day of your life! The reason some do not enjoy the help of the Holy Ghost is because they have reduced Him to a mere experience rather than a Person that they can fellowship with. Did you know that you can talk to the Holy Ghost as a person and hear Him talk to you like Jesus did with His disciples?

This is why we need to be more ‘God inside’ minded. Apostle Paul asked the Corinthian church in 1 Corinthians 3:16, _*“Do you not know that YOU are the TEMPLE OF GOD and that the SPIRIT OF GOD DWELLS IN YOU?*_ The truth is; all the help you ever need is available to you in the person of the Holy Spirit! Set your mind to the reality of the person of the Holy Ghost today and take advantage of the mighty help that He brings to you. This help could be in the form of a Word, a song, a revelation, an idea or the great doors and opportunities that He makes available to you because the Holy Ghost is God Himself! Never forget that you aren’t without the help of God in the person of the Holy Ghost!

*DECLARE*

|| *I have the wonderful Holy Spirit in me as a child of God and I am never without Help. When I face the mountains and the challenges of life, I will not fear or fret because I have constant help coming from the Mighty One that dwells in me. I will not be confused and stranded another day in my life again in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.* ||

*RIDING THE HEIGHTS*

*Deuteronomy 32:13-14*
*13 “HE MADE HIM RIDE IN THE HEIGHTS OF THE EARTH, that he might eat the produce of the fields; He made him draw honey from the rock, and oil from the flinty rock;*
*14 Curds from the cattle, and milk of the flock, with fat of lambs; and rams of the breed of Bashan, and goats, with the choicest wheat; and you drank wine, the blood of the grapes.*

The Bible says in Psalms 66:12 (KJV), _*“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.”*_ God has brought you to a wealthy place in Christ Jesus! It is a place of rich fulfilment and satisfaction. This place of rich fulfilment is that place where through covenant, God causes you to ride on the heights of the earth.

According to our text, riding on the heights of the earth meant Israel was brought out of slavery to eat the best produce of the fields. It meant being nourished with honey and oil from flinty rocks. It meant feasting on curds, milk and fat from special breeds of rams and cows. Riding upon the high places meant drinking and eating from the choicest wine and wheat.

To ride upon the heights of the earth means to live in great abundance! The Father desires this to be the experience of every believer in Christ Jesus! The same God who brought the children of Israel out of bo***ge to enjoy great abundance is the same God who in Christ Jesus has brought you out of that life of death, defeat, lack and failure to a place of life, success and great abundance that your natural mind cannot fathom.

Never allow anybody talk you out of God's best for you because He has made you wealthy beyond your wildest imagination! The best of this earth belongs to you! Your design by God is to excel and reach the zenith of everything that He has planned for you to be. You are born of a great God and that is why your heart will not and should not settle for anything less than the best.

The Bible says that _*“…GOD MADE Him ride upon the heights of the earth…”*_ The children of Israel couldn't ride the heights in their own ability or strength! They needed God and you do too! Though they were born into an oppressive system of slavery and didn't have all the requisite skills and tools, yet they had God with them and with God they rode on the heights of the earth. Glory to God!

In Christ Jesus God has clothed you with His very ability, wisdom and strength. You have been delivered from the oppressive systems of this world and God has made you master over them. Rather than working and being a slave to the systems, the systems are working for you because God is with you! You are excelling and thriving where others are struggling! Through God, you are riding the heights in abundance because the best belongs to you in Jesus' Name.

*DECLARE*

|| *I’m in my wealthy place in Christ Jesus. The systems of this world do not own me rather the systems are working for me. God is my strength, and I am highly favoured. The best of the land belongs to me and I boldly declare that I am riding the heights in this new month in the Name of Jesus.* ||

*ENJOYING EVERYDAY LIFE*

*1 Peter 3:10 (AMP)*
*10 For let him who wants to ENJOY LIFE and SEE GOOD DAYS [good--whether apparent or not] KEEP HIS TONGUE free from evil and his lips from guile (treachery, deceit).*

It is possible as a child of God to enjoy life every day and that is in speaking God’s Word. The words of our mouths are very powerful because words are spiritual things that are released to create!

Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:13 says, _*“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and THEREFORE HAVE I SPOKEN; we also believe, and THEREFORE SPEAK;”*_ Our words become impregnated with the same ability as God to produce and create when we believe God’s Word and speak. Nothing becomes impossible to us because those words have the same effect in our mouths that they would have in God’s mouth.

Jesus taught in Mark 11:23 saying, _*“… That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but SHALL BELIEVE that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”*_

We are taught to speak to mountains. He didn’t say, ‘analyze, describe or wail the nature of the mountain.’ He said, “Speak to the mountain and what you say will come to pass.”

Yes! What you say WILL come to pass, so speak to your body, bank accounts, businesses, children, etc. in the Name of Jesus! Whatever stands as a mountain should be spoken to. Use your mouth wisely.

Our text says whether good is apparent or not you should keep your tongue free from evil and your lips from guile. It doesn’t matter the situation, the secret of enjoying life and seeing good days starts with your tongue - not your town. Be deliberate in using your tongue to declare good over every area of your life!

When you speak, believe in your heart because your heart must be in agreement with what your mouth is declaring! Father loves you and He is backing your Words. The right use of your tongue is the key to enjoying everyday life.
