It’s important to remember that charging for services like AI image creation isn’t something to feel bad about.
Not long ago, I received messages from people asking me to generate images for them, with some even sending their photos. I took the time to explain that I’ve already made a step-by-step explanations on exactly how to do it, how to download apps like Gemini, and how to generate the images. I also told them they didn’t need to beg for prompts and told them how to make the right prompt for any image they want.
But here’s what I found, some still asked me to do it for them.
Now, imagine if 10 or 15 people asked for the same thing, and some of them want more than one image. Should I pause whatever I’m doing, even if it's just for a few seconds, to fulfil their requests? When I’ve already shown them how to do it themselves?
That’s not how I operate. I’m happy to teach you how to do something, but if you still want me to do it for you, then there has to be compensation for the time and effort I put in.
The truth is, there will always be people who prefer not to put in the effort, even after you’ve shown them how. And that’s okay.
For those who would say, "But I created it for free for people," please create a WhatsApp group and offer your time and services for free.
There’s nothing wrong with sharing knowledge, but when it comes to offering a service, it’s only fair that people respect your time and the value of your work.
