HELP ME TELL THAT BROTHER THAT CALLS HIMSELF "APOSTLE FIRE," THAT MINISTRY IS NOT ABOUT AUDIO, IT'S ABOUT BURDEN...
If it was ten years ago, that kind of man would have been in a retreat center—crying and fasting until God breaks him before handing him a mic.
But now, the path to becoming a minister is through Facebook likes and trending reels.
I came into the church when my pastor would say, "Uka, don’t hold the mic until you have held the horns of the altar for 7 days without food."
Now, they say, "Open a page, write deep things, add ‘Selah,’ and ministry will open to you."
I came into a church where we didn't look for a platform; we looked for a secret place.
Where your gift didn't make room for you until your spirit was drenched in God.
But now, the race is who can package their voice and shout the loudest "I see glory!"
Even when they don’t see their own hypocrisy..
I came into the church when my spiritual father would tell me, "Son, if you cannot cry for souls, don’t dare climb the pulpit."
But now, what we have are men who weep only when the offering is low.
We no longer discern spirits; we now discern who is more marketable.
Even Jesus said, "This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." (Matthew 17:21).
But what we have today are ministers who don’t fast, don’t pray, don’t wait... yet want to cast out devils and host crusades.
We want fire without altars...
We want power without brokenness...
We want platforms without process...
Who told this generation that the anointing is microwaveable?
Who told them that because they can rhyme and quote Greek words, they are now apostles of reformation?
Where are the men who tarried until their shadows healed the sick?
Where are the women who groaned in their closet until the heavens opened over their communities?
Paul said, "I die daily." (1 Corinthians 15:31) — but our own apostles today resurrect daily to post selfies and collect honorariums...
Friends, this is not how revival comes.
