FG ARRAIGNED 3 MEN OVER ABDUCTION OF OYO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS AND ALL THREE ARE FROM SULEJA LGA IN Niger STATE
The Federal Government has filed a 10-count charge against three men in connection with the kidnapping of students and teachers in Oriire LGA, Oyo State.
The defendants are Abdulrazak Umar _a.k.a Abu Khalifa/Abu Khalid Yunusa Musa _a.k.a Yunusa bin Musa_, and Shamsu Adamu Sani _a.k.a Abu Itisar_.
According to the charges filed at the Federal High Court, Abuja, the men allegedly conspired with Muhammad Sani, Jibril Mohammed and *Ibrahim Khabab between January and May 2026 to abduct school children and teachers in Oyo.
They are also accused of aiding the kidnapping, concealing information about the masterminds, terrorism, incitement, and illegal mining.
The FG further alleged that on June 2, 2026, the trio professed membership of Darul Salam, said to be linked to Ansaru, a proscribed terrorist group.
The first defendant, Abdulrazak Umar, faces additional charges of training terrorists and inciting attacks through a WhatsApp group called _“The Oneness of Allah is the Foundation of Peace.
He is also accused of illegal gold mining in Chaza area of Suleja between 2024 and 2026.
The suspects are expected to be arraigned in court next week.
