A marriage broke because of water to wash hands

Husband and wife finished eating and then the husband said to the wife “Darling change this water”.

Prior to the husband, the wife had finished eating, stood up and washed her hands in the water set aside for washing.

Because they both ate an oily soup, the water had become dirty by the time the husband was ready to wash his hands, so he called his wife and said “Darling please change this water and also bring soap for me to wash my hands.

The wife responded “No no no, I’ve already washed my hands, you too stand up and go and wash your hands. What it is, I am tired”

In a normal home, if nobody is putting alligator pepper inside the home, shouldn't the man have said just “ it's okay” and afterwards stand up quietly to go wash his hands and then life continues.

Is that a big thing to do? Of course “no”. Life would have continued. But the man insisted that she must bring the water while the wife vehemently resisted that she wouldn't bring the water.

So they both went to sleep that way. They had a very simple home o. Simple life! Very good couple.

In the morning, he told the wife “darling I want you to apologize for what you did yesterday” she replied “I don't say sorry”. The husband said “you don't say sorry ke” “say sorry” she repeated it again and again “I won't say sorry”

You see it has moved from “change the water” to “say sorry”. So they both dragged untill they left to their respective places of work.

When they got back from work, the husband again said to the wife “I am not more angry with you, I just want you to say sorry and then that's all” She replied “I won't say sorry”.

The following day, after the wife had gone to her place of work, the man changed the padlocks of the entire house Before he then left for work.

Remember it had moved from “bring water” to “say sorry”. What was the next thing - “changing of padlocks”. The wife came back and found that the whole house was under lock and key. She called the husband but he wouldn't pick up her calls.

He got angry and went to an hotel to sleep. Later the man came back home, entered quietly and slept.

Hope you've not forgotten that it had moved from bring water, say sorry, changed locks and now sleeping in different parts of the city because simple thing that began.

See where it was coming from, like a joke they got divorced over “say sorry” and “I won't say sorry”.

The wife ran to our office. It will interest to know that I was involved in the whole thing not that somebody told me the story.

She said to me “My husband respects you, please take me to my husband now, I am ready to say sorry even it's for a thousand times”. I responded “Madam you're late, the door is shut”.

So I called the man “We want to to come and sorry o” He said it was already late. It was on speaker so the wife heard our conversation. That there's a time sorry can solve a problem and there's a time sorry would not solve a problem.

Can I pray for you “may your heart not be hardened against your spouse, in Jesus name”.

The Call to start DUNAMIS is now 30years....

Celebrating 30 years of answering the call of God to start Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), Abuja.

On the 28th of May, 1996, God's servant - Dr. Paul Idoko Enenche embarked on a 3-day fasting and prayer adventure to seek God's face on what to do with his life. He was instructed by the Lord to set aside his medical certificate and move to Abuja to start a gospel outreach.

On returning home, his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Paul-Enenche, a nursing mother at the time, who was also fasting and praying, confirmed that the Spirit of God had told her exactly the same thing, thus confirming the call to establish Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

A very big Congratulations to God's servants - Dr. Pastor Paul & Dr Mrs Becky Enenche and the entire family of DUNAMIS worldwide.

Older Preachers Who influenced Kathryn Kuhlman’s life & Ministry.......

What if I told you that one of the most powerful healing evangelists in history did not rise alone?

Before the miracles, before the crowds, and before the fame, there were voices. Older voices. Men who shaped her hunger for God.

This is the untold story of the preachers who influenced Kathryn Kuhlman. Below are the names of notable ministers of the Gospel who tremendously shaped the life and ministry of Miss Khulman;

1.Aimee Semple McPherson.

Long before she stood on global platforms,
Kathryn was just a young girl hungry for God.
One of the earliest voices that marked her life
was Aimee Semple McPherson.

McPherson was a woman of fire, and a woman of miracles who showed the world that the Holy Spirit still moves with power.

Kathryn watched her closely. She saw what it meant to host God’s presence not just preach about Him. Then something ignited within her.

2.Smith Wigglesworth.

But there was another man whose ministry left a deep imprint on her spirit. His name was Smith Wigglesworth.

Smith was a man known as the “Apostle of Faith.” He doggedly believed in God without an iota of compromise. His boldness, raw faith and his unshakable conviction in divine healing all echoed in Kathryn’s later ministry. She didn’t just hear about faith. She saw what radical faith looks like in action.

3.Charles S. Price & E.W Kenyon.

Then came voices like Charles S. Price
and E.W. Kenyon. These were men who emphasized something deeper. Not just power but surrender. Not just miracles but intimacy with God.

Kathryn would later say...“I died a thousand deaths.” Because she learned early from those who went before her that the anointing carries a cost.

In conclusion, here’s what set Kathryn apart, She didn’t try to become them but she learned from them. She uniquely yielded to the Holy Spirit. That’s why in her meetings, she would often say: “I step aside… and let Him come.”

The world saw the miracles, the healings. and the glory. But behind it all were seeds planted by generals of the faith. Men and women who walked so she could run.

Now, the big question is:
Who are you learning from?
What legacy will you carry forward?

Today, it's my prayer that may God grant. us grace to Honor the voices that will shape your destinies, in Jesus name.

The mysterious prophetic life of JOHN ALEXANDER DOWIE part 2.....

Continuation of the first part....

In 1901, Dowie founded Zion, north of Chicago.
The city was designed to be a Christian community governed by strict moral standards.
No alcohol.
No to***co.
No theaters.
No gambling.

Dowie envisioned Zion as a holy city dedicated entirely to God.
And for a while… it worked.
Thousands moved there.
Businesses operated under religious rules.
People believed they were participating in something prophetic and historic.

At the center of it all stood Dowie himself.
And this is where the controversy intensified dramatically.

Over time, Dowie’s claims became more extreme. He increasingly spoke of his spiritual authority in unusual ways. At one point, he publicly suggested he was the fulfillment of the prophetic role of “Elijah the Restorer.”

That statement shocked many Christians.
Some followers accepted it. Others became deeply uncomfortable. Even, critics accused him of pride and spiritual delusion.

But despite the controversy, Dowie’s influence was undeniable. Many historians acknowledge that his healing emphasis strongly influenced later Pentecostal and charismatic movements around the world.

In fact, several future revival leaders either followed Dowie directly or were impacted by his teachings on healing and faith.

Yet behind the scenes, serious problems were growing. Financial pressure mounted. Leadership conflicts exploded. Former allies turned against him.

While Dowie traveled internationally, accusations of financial mismanagement and authoritarian leadership began circulating within Zion City.

Then disaster struck.

In 1905, Dowie suffered a major stroke.
The once fiery preacher who had commanded massive crowds suddenly became physically weakened. And while he struggled to recover…
many of his own associates reportedly moved against him.

Leadership battles erupted publicly.
The empire he built began collapsing around him.

Some followers abandoned him completely.
Others accused him openly.
The prophetic leader who once appeared untouchable now looked broken and isolated.
By the final years of his life, Dowie’s influence had greatly diminished.

He died in 1907, but even after his death, the debates surrounding him never stopped.
Was he a genuine prophet?
A misguided visionary?
A reformer consumed by ambition?
Or a man whose spiritual gifts became overshadowed by human weakness?
One thing is certain:

John Alexander Dowie changed religious history. His teachings on divine healing helped prepare the ground for the Pentecostal movement that exploded worldwide in the 20th century.

His boldness inspired thousands.
His excesses warned thousands more.
And perhaps the most haunting part of his story is this:
A man can begin with extraordinary conviction, move crowds, shape history and still remain deeply human.

The life of John Alexander Dowie remains one of the most fascinating prophetic stories Christianity has ever witnessed. A story filled with miracles, controversy, vision, power and tragedy.

10 THINGS YOU PROBABLY DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT THE LOVE LIFE OF WATCHMAN NEE

When people hear the name Watchman Nee, they usually think about deep spiritual books, house church movements, persecution and prison.

But hidden behind the famous sermons and theological writings was a deeply emotional love story that many people know almost nothing about.

A story of patience, rejection, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion. And honestly some parts of it sound almost unbelievable.

Here are 10 fascinating and verifiable things you probably didn’t know about the love life of Watchman Nee.

1.HE FELL IN LOVE AS A YOUNG MAN
Before he became one of China’s most influential Christian leaders, Watchman Nee was simply a young man with strong emotions and dreams.

As a teenager in China, he fell deeply in love with a woman named Charity Chang.

According to several historical accounts, their relationship became one of the greatest emotional struggles of his early life because at the time, their spiritual paths were completely different.

2. HIS LOVE RELATIONSHIP ALMOST CONFLICTED WITH HIS MINISTRY
After Nee became a committed Christian, he reportedly felt that his relationship with Charity was affecting his spiritual focus.

Some mentors around him questioned whether the relationship was God’s will. And for a period of time, Nee painfully stepped away from the romance.

Honestly, it's quite a tough decision for a young man who was genuinely in love to walk away because he feared missing God’s purpose.
That decision reportedly devastated him emotionally.

3. CHARITY CHANG WAS NOT INITIALLY AS PASSIONATE ABOUT CHRISTIANITY
Historical accounts suggest that one major concern among Nee’s spiritual associates was Charity’s spiritual condition. Nee himself desired a deeply Christ-centered marriage.

But at first, there appeared to be uncertainty about whether Charity fully shared the same spiritual commitment. That tension created years of waiting and emotional uncertainty.

4. THEY WAITED YEARS BEFORE FINALLY MARRYING
Unlike many quick relationships, their story stretched over many years. Watchman Nee and Charity Chang reportedly remained apart for a long period before eventually reuniting.

During those years, Nee buried himself in ministry, writing, Bible study, and church work.
But according to biographers, he never truly forgot her.

5. THEIR MARRIAGE FINALLY HAPPENED IN 1934.
After years of emotional tension and separation. Watchman Nee finally married Charity Chang in 1934.

For many people around him, the marriage felt almost miraculous because of how complicated the relationship history had been.
The woman he once believed he might lose forever became his wife.

6. CHARITY BECAME ONE OF HIS GREATEST SUPPORTERS.
After their marriage, Charity reportedly became deeply supportive of Nee’s ministry. This became critically important because Watchman Nee’s life soon entered seasons of extraordinary suffering.

His ministry faced attacks, political pressure increased in China, and eventually communist persecution intensified against Christians.

Through it all, his wife remained connected to him emotionally and spiritually.

7. THEIR LOVE STORY WAS INTERRUPTED BY IMPRISONMENT
In 1952, Watchman Nee was arrested by the Chinese communist government.

And this changed everything. He would spend the remaining decades of his life imprisoned.
Think about that carefully.

A marriage that had already endured years of waiting, now faced separation again. But this time, through prison walls.

8. HIS WIFE WAITED FOR HIM FOR DECADES
One of the most heartbreaking parts of their love story is what happened afterward. While Nee remained imprisoned, Charity reportedly waited faithfully for him year after year.

There were limited visits, restricted communication and enormous emotional pain, yet she remained loyal. In many ways, their marriage became a story not merely of romance but endurance.

9. WATCHMAN NEE NEVER WALKED OUT OF PRISON ALIVE
After more than twenty years in prison, Watchman Nee died in confinement in 1972.
He never regained freedom, and he never returned home permanently to his wife.

One of the saddest details recorded after his death was the discovery of a handwritten note reportedly left near him declaring his lifelong faith in Jesus Christ.

10. THEIR LOVE STORY BECAME A SYMBOL OF SACRIFICE
Today, many Christians remember Watchman Nee primarily for books like The Normal Christian Life and his teachings on spiritual growth.

But behind the theology, was a real man who loved deeply. A man who wrestled emotionally.
A man whose marriage survived separation, persecution, and suffering. And perhaps that is what makes his story so powerful.

Because the love life of Watchman Nee was not built on luxury, fame, or comfort.
It was built on patience, faith, waiting and sacrifice.

And maybe that is why their story still moves people decades later. Not because it was perfect, but because it endured.

What armed-robbers experienced the day they came to my house.....
- Rev. Dr. UMA UKPAI.

Three years ago, armed robbers came to rob me here in Uyo. But they said when they got to the gate, the gate began to grow, the walls began to rise, and their own heads began to expand. According to them, their own heads became elastic.

They went to one of my Pastor's sons and begged him to ask me to pray that God may heal them and forgive them.

They said they found themselves in my compound as a result of mistaken identity.

They confessed it was somewhere else they were going before they missed their way.
They requested that I should beg God to heal them.

Men and brethren, for your information: That is what we call "the shout of the king".

Whenever your enemies bang on your door deliberately or accidentally, may God himself respond to them immediately, in Jesus name.

The reason I left my work to relocate to Uyo, in 1972.
-Rev. UMA UKPAI.

When God asked me to relocate to Uyo in 1972, Uyo was not my best option.

Uyo was a big village. On the other hand, my friends were sent to America, to London and to Lagos.

No, it was not my will but God's will be done.

Where I was working before I came into full time ministry, they paid me handsomely - more than I could even manage. As a result of the good pay, I never cooked.

I would just go to a nearby hotel restaurant, pay, and sign a meal ticket for one month. For one month I wouldn't cook because I had surplus money. But one day, God said to me “stop that and follow me.”

It is not your will but His will and you ought to adhere to it.

Do I have anybody here who is ready to follow God's instructions and obey him fully?

The bible says Jesus laid his back for them to strike him and wound him in your place.

One more time let me ask, do I have anybody here who will say - from what I have heard tonight, I am going to rededicate my life unto God: in witnessing, in living a holy life, and in serving God.

May God grant you the grace to do so, in Jesus name.
