As part of activities marking the first week of school resumption, the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) conducted an official monitoring visit to UBEC Model Smart School, Minna, on Wednesday, 14th January, 2026.
The delegation was led by the Board Permanent Member IV, Hon. AbdulMalik Madaki, in the company of Permanent Member V, the Education Secretary of Chanchaga Local Education Authority, as well as other senior officials of the Board.
Upon their arrival, the school management formally received the team and guided them on an extensive inspection tour of the school facilities. The purpose of the visit was to assess the state of infrastructure, observe academic preparedness, and identify areas requiring urgent intervention to further enhance the quality of basic education delivery.
During the exercise, the delegation examined classroom conditions, administrative offices, ICT facilities, and other essential amenities. The findings highlighted certain critical areas that need prompt attention to ensure an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning.
In his remarks, Permanent Member IV, Hon. AbdulMalik Madaki, commended the school management for their efforts in maintaining a functional and orderly learning atmosphere. He assured the school that all observations and identified challenges would be duly reported to the Executive Chairman of NSUBEB, with a commitment to pursue lasting and sustainable solutions.
The visit reaffirms NSUBEB’s unwavering resolve to strengthen the basic education sector in Niger State through continuous monitoring, constructive engagement, and timely intervention.
