Tragedy struck near the Libyan coastal town of Tobruk after a vessel carrying seventy-four migrants capsized while en route to Europe.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), only thirteen people were rescued, while dozens remain missing.

In a statement, UNHCR stressed the need for long-term solutions to the migrant crisis: “Because safe and legal pathways are available to only a very small number of people, the real solution is to end the war in Sudan so families can return home in safety and not take these dangerous journeys.”

Initial reports indicated that a baby was among those who lost their lives. However, details about the infant’s identity and age have not yet been confirmed by UNHCR or humanitarian organizations assisting survivors.

Aid groups and United Nations agencies continue to call for urgent improvements in safe migration channels and stronger rescue operations to prevent further loss of life.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a senior member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Shamsideen Adio, for allegedly beating a dispatch rider to de@th on Tapa Street, Lagos Island.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Wednesday after a minor clash between Adio and the victim, who was accused of scratching his vehicle. The argument quickly escalated, and Adio, reportedly joined by some of his colleagues, descended heavily on the rider, beating him until he collapsed.

A journalist, Chris Nwandu, who shared a video of the incident on social media, described Adio as notorious for similar violent attacks on tricycle (Marwa) operators in the area. He alleged that just days earlier, the suspect had assaulted another operator who ended up in hospital.

Gentle the Yahoo and his second-in-command, “Angel Make Up,” had earlier released a video parading the lawmaker, threatening to kill him if the Imo State Government did not withdraw security operatives from Okigwe.

However, Hon. Ngozi Ogbu and over 12 other captives were rescued alive when the Nigerian Army stormed the gang’s camp in Aku, Okigwe.

This is my finger, ever since I and my hubby tied the knot, this ring has never left my finger,but yesterday I found out my husband chéáted on me with a lady I knew that vowed never to date a married man,

So when I tried to find out what transpired, I found out that, my husband told the lady he's not married with a proof of no wedding ring on his finger, I am thinking of throwing the ring away,and also chéat back so he too can feel the páin😲, Please post for your audience advice.

Shock and sadness have gripped the community after the tragic discovery of a young mother of two who was found lifeless in a hotel room after spending the night with her fiancé.

According to eyewitnesses and hotel staff, the woman had checked in with her fiancé on what many believed to be a “private getaway.” Unfortunately, what was meant to be a romantic evening ended in heartbreak. Early the next morning, hotel workers raised an alarm when the man rushed out screaming for help after finding his partner unresponsive.

Authorities quickly arrived at the scene, but she was confirmed dead. The cause of death has not yet been officially released, but investigators are examining whether it was linked to health complications during intimacy or other suspicious circumstances.
