"My bishop and all the priests in Nsukka Catholic Diocese abandoned me, for this reason, we will leave this adoration ground" ~ Fada Okunerere Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria cries out again

On Sunday being palm Sunday, as the church marked the beginning of the 2025 Holy Week, the embattled Catholic priest of Nsukka diocese, Rev. Fr Barr Prof. Paul Obinna Martin Obayi (Fada Okunerere) during the Holy Mass at his adoption center in Nsukka lamented that his bishop, Godfrey I. Onah and all the priests in Nsukka diocese abandoned him to his fate amidst the demolition of part of his adoration ground. In his exact words:

"Exactly today is one month a woman called Princess Monica Otta from Abia State came with a bulldozer to bulldoze our water factory. I have been silent all this while for peace to reign and behold, all I see is trouble left, right and centre. I want to tell you one thing, we are going to leave this place.

"What do I mean by that? Since I have been fighting alone, the woman told me 'you must be fighting alone, your bishop is not with you, all the priests are not with you', and it happened the way she said it. Till today, my bishop has not called me, he has not come to this place.

"Today, I have sent texts to him, I have written a letter. So, it became a confirmation. That one is not enough, no priest has been strong enough to speak about the evil. I didn't mean they should fight for me oo, but let them condemn this act. No priest has been able to condemn this act. But what I'm telling my fellow priests is that the partridge would be roasted the same way the c**k was roasted (he said this in Nsukka dialect). They all kept quiet, only Obayi has been fighting this battle. Am I taking the adoration properties to my home? Am I looking for something to feed my wife and children?

"All Nsukka people kept quiet over this battle. I have reported this to so many quarters, Nsukka town kept quiet, elites of Nsukka kept quiet.
