Awka,Anambra State.

The Executive Mayor of Nnewi North LGA, Hon. Echezona Anazodo has received his Certificate of Return from the Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission, ANSIEC.

The presentation, which took place at the ANSIEC headquarters, Awka formally confirms Hon. Anazodo’s mandate to continue piloting the affairs of Nnewi North LGA for another term.

In his remarks, Hon. Anazodo expressed deep gratitude to Ndi Nnewi North for the overwhelming support and renewed confidence reposed in him. He dedicated the victory to the people, describing it as a collective mandate for continued progress, unity, and development.

“This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to Ndi Nnewi North. You have given me the opportunity to serve again, and I promise not to take it for granted. Together, we will consolidate on the gains we have made and build a Nnewi North that truly works for all,”he said.

Hon. Anazodo further assured that his administration will remain committed to PPCP initiatives, youth empowerment, security, infrastructure, and inclusive governance in line with the “Nkea Bu Nke Anyi” philosophy.

The event was attended by party faithful, traditional rulers, religious leaders, youth and women groups who came to celebrate the mandate of the people.

~ Assures Residents of PPCP Initiatives for All-Round Development

The Executive Mayor of Nnewi North LGA, Hon. Echezona Anazodo, has commended the Anuka Legends of Umuanuka, Otolo Nnewi for their laudable community development projects aimed at improving security and the standard of living in the area.

Hon. Anazodo gave the commendation on Monday while commissioning solar-powered street lights and CCTV cameras donated and installed by the Anuka Legends in Umuanuka, Otolo Nnewi.

The Mayor described the gesture as a true reflection of Nkea Bu Nke Anyi”spirit, noting that such selfless contributions by sons and daughters of the community are key to achieving rapid and sustainable development at the grassroots.

“This is what governance should look like government and community working together. I assure you that my administration is ready and willing to partner with you through PPP initiatives to ensure all-round development across Nnewi North,” Hon. Anazodo said.

In his welcome address, the President-General of the Community, Hon. Nwakile Chukwunonso expressed great joy over the Mayor’s visit and congratulated him on his successful re-election bid. He described the Mayor’s presence as a sign of his commitment to the people.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Anuka Legends, High Chief Ugochukwu Onedibe assured the Mayor that the group would continue to partner with the government to drive rapid development in Umuanuka and Otolo Nnewi at large.

The commissioning of the solar street lights and security cameras is expected to enhance visibility, improve security, and boost nighttime economic activities in the community.

The event was attended by traditional rulers, town union executives, youth leaders, women groups, and other stakeholders.
