FREE TIP:

Your healed marriage is a sledge for others to hold onto. The argument you survived, the affair you forgave, the debt you came out of isn't just your story, it’s a testament of a resuscitated marriage, please don't keep it to yourself.

Kingdom marriages don’t just survive, they advance.

Note that true worship isn't just about playing worship songs and singing along, it's about offering ourselves wholly to your partner. That's vulnerability.

THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE IS IN PLACE SO WE EXPERIENCE EVERY DIMENSION OF GOD ON EARTH 🌎 (5)

I'm ending this series, so this is more like a summary of everything we've been looking at from the beginning of this series.

Marriage reveals God as a:

1. Covenant Keeper
Marriage teaches commitment when feelings fade. God keeps His covenant even when we don’t keep ours. Staying faithful through dry seasons shows us what “I will never leave you” actually looks like. It pushes us to take responsibility even when our partner isn't keeping theirs.

2. Healer and Restorer
No two imperfect people can live together without hurting each other. Marriage puts you in situations where you must forgive 70x7. That’s where you learn God’s restoring power. What broke you can become the testimony that heals both of you.

3. Refiner
Iron sharpens iron. Your spouse will expose your pride, selfishness, impatience — all the things you can’t see alone. God uses marriage to sand off rough edges so you look more like Christ. It’s uncomfortable, but it’s love.

4. Multiplier
One can chase a thousand, two can chase ten thousand. Together you accomplish more than either could alone. Ministry, vision, impact, marriage multiplies purpose when both are submitted to God first.

5. Intimate Friend
Marriage gives you a picture of God’s desire for closeness. No hiding, no masks, known fully and still loved. That level of vulnerability trains your heart to be that honest with God.

6. Creator
Through marriage, God invites you into creation, children, ideas, businesses, legacies. You co-labor with Him to bring new life and influence into the earth.

That’s why resuscitating marriages matters. When marriages reflect God rightly, the world gets a clearer picture of Him.

When marriage works the way God designed, people don't just see two people in love, they see God himself lived out in real time. That's why establishing kingdom marriages isn't just about saving homes, it's about revealing God

Love as a dimension of God and marriage the classroom for it

1 John 4:8 says “God is love.” Not just that He loves, but He is love. So marriage doesn’t just teach you to do loving things, it teaches you to become the love that God is.

Here’s how marriage reveals God’s kind of love:

1. Love that chooses daily - 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
God’s love is patient, kind, keeps no record of wrongs, never fails.
Marriage strips away the butterflies fast. You wake up to morning breath, bad moods, and selfish moments. That’s when you learn love isn’t a feeling you fall into, it’s a choice you wake up and make. Just like God chooses us every single day.

2. Love that sacrifices – Ephesians 5:25
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”
God’s love bleeds. It gives up comfort, rights, preferences. Marriage teaches you to lay down “me” for “we.” That’s the Christ love in real life.

3. Love that covers – 1 Peter 4:8
“Love covers a multitude of sins.”
God doesn’t expose us publicly for every failure, He covers us instead. Marriage teaches you to protect your spouse’s weakness instead of weaponizing it. You don’t air your dirty laundry to friends or family. You cover, correct in private, and defend in public. That’s covenant love.

4. Love that stays – Romans 8:38-39
What can separate us from the love of God, nothing absolutely.
Feelings fluctuate. Attraction shifts. Hard seasons come but the God Love stays even when it’s inconvenient.

THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE IS IN PLACE SO WE EXPERIENCE EVERY DIMENSION OF GOD ON EARTH 🌍🌎 (3)

The dimension of God we're looking at today is His Patience. Marriage teaches us to be patient with our spouse.

1. You learn to wait like God waits on us

2 Peter 3:9 says God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish. He waits decades for people to change.
In marriage, your spouse won’t grow overnight. Change in habits, trauma, communication style is usually slow. You learn to stop rushing them and start covering them while God works. That’s divine patience.

2. You learn to respond, not react

God doesn’t snap at us every time we mess up. Psalm 103:8 says He’s slow to anger.
Marriage puts you in 1000 tiny moments daily where you can explode or exhale. Dirty dishes, wrong tone, forgotten promises. Each time you choose calm over chaos, you’re practicing God’s “slow to anger” nature.

3. You learn endurance through dry seasons

Hosea’s marriage to Gomer was a masterclass in God’s patience, a perfect example of how God condones/endures our excesses. She kept running, he kept loving.
There are seasons in marriage where feelings fade, conversation is dry, intimacy feels like work. Patience teaches you to stay planted when quitting looks easier. You learn the covenant love of God that doesn’t walk away.

4. You learn to carry weakness without crushing it

Romans 15:1 says "we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak".
Your spouse will have weak areas you’re strong in. Patience means you don’t use your strength to shame them. You bear it, teach gently, wait for growth. That’s how God parents us.

Impatience says “change now or I’m done.”

A patient spouse says “I see who you’re becoming, so I’ll stay while you get there.”

God’s patience says "I see who you're becoming, I'll help you get there

Marriage is literally God’s boot camp for patience. No textbook teaches it like a spouse who leaves towels on the floor for 10 years🤣🤣

What’s one area marriage has stretched your patience most?

What other dimensions of God does marriage teach us?

THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE IS IN PLACE SO WE EXPERIENCE EVERY DIMENSION OF GOD ON EARTH 🌎 (2)

Marriage teaches the peace of God better than any sermon can.

1. Peace that chooses calm over chaos

Marriage trains you to pause, breathe, and respond instead of react. That’s Philippians 4:7 in real time. You learn to guard your heart and your words because the goal isn’t winning the argument, it’s keeping the peace.

2. Peace that forgives fast

Offenses will happen. If you hold them, your home becomes a war zone. Marriage forces you to practice Colossians 3:13 daily. You learn to release quickly, the way God releases us. That’s peace ruling in your heart.

3. Peace that trusts when you don’t understand

There are seasons where your spouse won’t meet your expectations. You can’t control them. Marriage teaches you to rest in God’s sovereignty instead of trying to manage your partner. That surrender is peace.

4. Peace that creates safe space

God’s presence is rest. A kingdom marriage becomes a place where both people can be unguarded, tired, broken, vulnerable in all sense of the word and still feel safe. You learn to be each other’s refuge. That’s God’s peace made visible.

So when I said marriage is so we experience every dimension of God, peace is definitely one of the biggest ones. It’s learned in the trenches, not in theory.

And if you noticed, I included scriptures. That's intentional, it's meant to redirect you to your Bible.

Are there other dimensions of God marriage is meant to teach us? Tell me in the comment session.

The institution of marriage is in place so we experience every dimension of God on Earth 🌎

Let me explain 📌

If marriage reflects Christ and the Church, then it really is designed to be more than companionship. It becomes a training ground where we learn patience like God’s patience, forgiveness like His forgiveness, sacrifice like His sacrifice, and unconditional love that doesn’t quit but could bear the cross for those He loves.

You don’t get the full picture of God just studying scripture alone. Marriage forces you to live it out.

Marriages make more sense when you’re talking about marriages that reveal God, not just survive.

I'll be dropping snippets to give you a clearer picture but before I do, can you tell me in the comment section, which dimension of God you think marriage lays bare to us.

You’re young. You’ve got time.
False.

All this does is extend how long it takes people to realize:

1. Tomorrow isn’t guaranteed
2. Nothing is going to be easy. Get over it.
3. It takes time to get good.
4. The sooner you start the sooner you get.
