My fellow Igbos... how long will we keep watching our people suffer while we remain divided among ourselves?

How many more times will we cry about marginalization, injustice, insecurity, and the blood of our people before we finally understand that a divided people can never command respect?

The handwriting is already on the wall.

No one will hand freedom, dignity, or respect to people who cannot stand together for a common purpose.

This is not a call for hate.
This is not a call for destruction.
This is a call for awakening.

We must rebuild unity among ourselves first.
We must support Igbo businesses, Igbo youths, Igbo innovation, Igbo culture, and Igbo interests. We must stop pulling ourselves down while others move strategically as one people.

Freedom begins from the mind.
Strength begins from unity.
Power begins from organization.

If we truly want a better future for our children, then this generation must learn to think beyond party politics, beyond tribal jealousy, and beyond personal gain.

If we refuse to unite, we will continue to be used. Time has come to look inward, find common ground, and move with one voice, one purpose, and one vision for the survival and progress of our people.

The world respects people who respect and organize themselves first.

UNRAVELING AFRICA HISTORY

MY AFRICAN BROTHERS & SISTERS, REMEMBER THIS 🙇🏽

Before imported religion spread across the continent...

we already believed in a Creator. We already had spiritual systems, moral laws, symbols, traditions, and ways of understanding life.

Then came a time when we were taught to fear everything connected to our roots. Many indigenous beliefs, symbols, and traditions were labeled evil, primitive and uncivilized.

Over time, people began disconnecting from:

- their languages
- their customs
- their ancestral knowledge
- their spiritual identity

And slowly, many forgot who they were before colonial influence reshaped the continent.

Look around today… See how chaotic Africa has become... Constant exploitation, division,
the endless struggle for minerals, control, and power.

The sacred systems that once guided balance, morality, community, and identity were weakened.

And many people became disconnected from themselves while constantly searching outward for meaning.

Remember... Africa is the cradle of humanity and civilization. This is not about rejecting modern religion. It is about remembering ourselves again... No people can truly rise while believing their own roots are worthless.

We must ask deeper questions, support each other, preserve knowledge, hold systems accountable, Reconnect with values that build strong communities.

The deeper we study history… the more we realize the battle was never only for land.

It was also for memory, identity, and consciousness.

UNRAVELING AFRICA HISTORY

In the 1930s…

archaeological discoveries in present-day Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria left historians stunned.

Ancient bronze artifacts were uncovered with levels of detail and craftsmanship many did not expect from that period of African history.

The works showed:

- advanced metalworking
- artistic sophistication
- cultural organization
- spiritual symbolism
- technical skill

Some of the bronze pieces were so intricate that researchers struggled to fully explain how such techniques were achieved centuries ago.

This discovery challenged one of the biggest colonial-era assumptions that ancient African societies lacked technological and artistic advancement.

Igbo-Ukwu became proof that long before colonialism… African civilizations were already creating complex art, systems, and culture.

The deeper we study African history… the more hidden brilliance we begin to uncover 👀

Long before colonial Nigeria existed…

there was the Kingdom of Nri.

One of the oldest known civilizations in Igbo history.

But unlike many empires built mainly through war and conquest…

Nri spread influence through spirituality, diplomacy, customs, and sacred authority.

The Eze Nri was seen not just as a ruler…

but as a spiritual figure responsible for balance, cleansing, justice, and harmony within society.

Nri traditions shaped:

- laws
- title systems
- rituals
- market customs
- concepts like nso ani (sacred laws/taboos)

Its influence spread across different Igbo communities long before colonial rule.

The deeper many people study African history…

the more they begin to realize that African civilizations were far more organized, spiritual, and sophisticated than many were taught.

And this is only the beginning of the Igbo story 👀🌍

Who are the Igbo?

To many people, the answer begins and ends with the modern South East.

But history is often deeper than modern political maps.

Before colonial borders and regional restructuring, many communities across today’s South East and parts of the South South shared strong cultural, linguistic, ancestral, and trade connections with Igbo civilization.

Over time, colonial administration and later political divisions created newer regional identities and boundaries.

Yet traces of older connections still remain:

- language similarities
- traditions
- market systems
- names
- spirituality
- migration histories
- oral traditions

The Igbo story is not just about geography.

It is about a people, a culture, and a civilization whose roots spread wider than many were taught.

And this is only the beginning… 👀🌍

Before modern African countries existed…
before colonial powers drew borders across the continent… Africa already had kingdoms, empires, and organized societies.

Civilizations rose across different regions with their own:
systems of governance
trade routes
spirituality
military systems
architecture
craftsmanship
laws and traditions.

Kingdoms and empires like:
Mali Empire
Songhai Empire
Kingdom of Benin
Kingdom of Kush
Oyo Empire
Hausa Kingdoms
shaped trade, culture, politics, and history long before colonial rule.

Africa was never a land without structure.
It was a continent filled with peoples, identities, and civilizations evolving in different ways.
The deeper we study history, the more we realize Africa’s story is far older and richer than many were taught.

And among these ancient peoples and civilizations…
were the Igbo.
