💍 Before I Collected His Engagement Ring, I Gave Him 10 Rules… ❤️

I still remember that beautiful day 16th Feb, 2 days after Val that unforgettable year 😂😍.

Before I accepted my husband’s engagement ring, I looked at him and smiled. 😊

I said:

“Before I wear your ring, here are my rules…”

Some of them were:

❤️ 1. Never compare me to anyone—not another woman, not your ex, not even an angel.

🤐 2. Let our marital issues remain between us and God first. Let’s not make our home a public discussion unless we truly need wise and trusted help.

🛡️ 3. Never expose my weaknesses to your family just to win an argument. Protect my dignity, and I’ll protect yours.

There were several other promises we made to each other…

Then… marriage happened. 💭

Reality knocked.

We started discovering each other’s strengths… and weaknesses.

We disagreed.

We misunderstood each other.

Sometimes we argued.

We were two people deeply in love, but we were also two different individuals learning how to become one.

Then came family.

Then came friends.

Advice from different directions.

Expectations.

Pressure.

At one point, the storm became so intense that we almost forgot the promises we made before saying, “I do.” 💔

But we didn’t give up.

We sat down.

We talked.

We prayed.

We admitted where we were wrong.

We forgave each other.

We corrected our mistakes.

Most importantly, we set healthy boundaries—with family, friends, and even ourselves.

Gradually, the storm became calmer. 🌈

No… we are not a perfect couple.

But we are two imperfect people who have chosen to keep working on our marriage every single day. ❤️

So if your home is going through a difficult season, please don’t conclude that it’s the end.

🌱 Every strong marriage has faced storms.

🌈 Every lasting marriage has moments of misunderstanding.

❤️ Never be too quick to walk away from genuine love. Sometimes the storm is preparing you for a stronger tomorrow.

❤️ How to Love Your Husband

Loving your husband is not just about saying “I love you.” It’s about showing it in ways he can see and feel.

❤️ 1. Respect him.
Respect is one of the deepest expressions of love for many husbands. Even during disagreements, avoid insults and public embarrassment.

🗣️ 2. Communicate with kindness.
Listen before reacting. Speak to understand, not just to win an argument.

👏 3. Appreciate him often.
Don’t wait for grand gestures. A sincere “Thank you” or “I’m proud of you” can mean a lot.

🤝 4. Be his safe place.
Let your home be a place where he feels accepted, encouraged, and supported through life’s challenges.

💕 5. Keep the romance alive.
Spend quality time together, laugh together, pray together, and nurture your emotional and physical intimacy.

🙏 6. Pray for him.
Ask God to give him wisdom, strength, peace, and grace to lead and love well.

❤️ 7. Stand by him in difficult seasons.
Real love is tested not only in moments of celebration but also during hardship.

💡 Reality Check

Loving your husband does not mean tolerating abuse, manipulation, or disrespect. A healthy marriage is built when both husband and wife choose to love, honor, and care for each other every day.

🔥 WHEN EVERYTHING AROUND YOU IS CHANGING, REMEMBER WHO ISN’T

One day they love you.
The next day they misunderstand you.

One season you have money.
Another season, you’re counting every naira.

One moment your home is peaceful.
Another moment, you’re wondering how things became so complicated.

Life changes without asking for permission.

But there is something—and Someone—you can anchor your life to:

GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. 🙏🔥

The same God who opened the Red Sea can still make a way.
The same God who answered Hannah can still answer the woman waiting.
The same God who restored broken people can still restore broken homes.
The same Jesus who saved yesterday is still saving today.

Your situation may have changed, but God’s ability has not.

So don’t let a changing world convince you that your unchanging God has forgotten you.

He hasn’t.

Hold on.
Pray again.
Believe again.
Hope again.

Your chapter has changed—but the Author hasn’t. ❤️‍🔥

If you still believe God can turn your story around, type: “GOD HAS NOT CHANGED.” 👇🔥

Be a Helpmate, Not a Liability ❤️

Marriage is not a competition. It is a partnership.

A helpmate adds value.
A liability adds unnecessary burdens.

A helpmate encourages. 🌹
A liability constantly discourages.

A helpmate looks for solutions. 💡
A liability creates more problems.

A helpmate stands with their spouse during difficult seasons. 🤝
A liability expects to receive without being willing to contribute.

Being a helpmate does not mean doing everything alone or carrying the entire family on your shoulders. It means bringing your strengths, supporting one another, and working together to build a peaceful and thriving home.

Whether you are a husband or a wife, ask yourself:
“Am I making my spouse’s journey lighter or heavier?”

A successful marriage is built when both partners become assets to each other, not burdens.

🚨 Dear Parents: If You Don’t Teach Your Child About Their Body, Someone Else Might. 💔

Children don’t become unsafe because they are disobedient. Many become vulnerable simply because no one taught them what they needed to know.

As parents, guardians, teachers, and Sunday school teachers, one of the greatest gifts we can give our children is godly, age-appropriate body safety education.

🌸 Topic: God Made My Body Special

📖 Memory Verse:
“I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” — Psalm 139:14

Every child should grow up knowing this truth:

❤️ “God made me special.”
❤️ “My body is valuable.”
❤️ “My body deserves respect.”

God created every child in His image. Their bodies are not something to be ashamed of—they are precious gifts from God and should be protected.

👧🏽👦🏽 Five Truths Every Child Should Know

🌟 1. My Body Belongs to Me

No one should force a child to hug, kiss, sit on their lap, or accept any touch that makes them feel uncomfortable. Children can politely say “No” and move away.

🤝 2. Learn the Difference Between Safe and Unsafe Touch

✅ Safe touch helps or protects a child—for example, a parent helping with bathing when needed, holding hands while crossing the road, or a doctor examining the child with a trusted adult present.

🚫 Unsafe touch is any touch that causes fear, confusion, discomfort, or involves private body parts without a proper reason.

🩱 3. Private Means Private

Teach children that the parts covered by their underwear or swimsuit are private. They should not allow anyone to touch, ask to see, or take pictures of those parts except in appropriate caregiving or medical situations with a trusted adult present.

🤫 4. Know the Difference Between Surprises and Secrets

🎁 Good surprises make people happy and are only temporary.

❌ Bad secrets make children feel afraid, confused, or uncomfortable. Tell your child:

“You will never be in trouble for telling me a secret that makes you feel unsafe.”

🛡️ 5. Always Tell a Trusted Adult

Teach your child to speak to someone they trust:
👩 Mum
👨 Dad
👵 Grandparents
👩‍🏫 A trusted teacher
⛪ A trusted Sunday school teacher
❤️ Another trusted caregiver

And remind them:
Keep telling until someone listens and helps.

🚨 Teach These Four Safety Rules

🛑 Say “NO!” loudly.
🏃 Leave the place immediately.
🗣️ Tell a trusted adult.
🔁 Keep telling until someone helps.

✝️ Jesus Loves and Protects Children

“Let the little children come to Me…” — Matthew 19:14

Jesus values children, and as adults, we are called to protect, teach, and care for them with wisdom and love.

❤️ Parents, Let’s Talk

Teaching children about body safety does not take away their innocence—it helps protect it.

The goal isn’t to make children afraid of people. It’s to help them recognize unsafe situations, know they can say “No,” and feel confident seeking help from trusted adults.

💬 Discussion Time:
At what age do you think parents should begin teaching children about body safety, and why?

👇 Let’s learn from one another in the comments. Your experience could help another parent protect a child.

🚨 She Left Her Two Children… Again! 💔

A man cried out in frustration:

“My wife has a habit of leaving our two children with me whenever we have a misunderstanding. She packs her things, goes to her father’s house, stays away for months, then returns as if nothing happened.

Three months ago she did it again. I welcomed her back for the sake of peace.

Just a few weeks ago, she left again… and this time, I’m tired. I never chased her away. Why should I keep accepting her back after every disagreement?”

💭 This raises some difficult questions.

❓What can make a mother leave her children behind for months?

❓Is she emotionally exhausted, or is she using separation as a weapon?

❓Should the husband continue welcoming her back every time?

❓Most importantly… what effect will this repeated cycle have on the children?

⚠️ Marriage is not free from misunderstandings, but running away after every conflict rarely solves the problem. Children deserve stability, and both parents have a responsibility to protect their emotional well-being.

👇 Let’s discuss respectfully.
If you were counseling this couple, what advice would you give the husband… and what would you say to the wife?

💔 Who Bears the Greatest Pain After Separation or Divorce?

A marriage of five years is about to collapse and the woman began to ask questions on bears the pain the most.

Some say it’s the mother who carries the children alone.

Others say it’s the father who misses watching his children grow.

Many believe it’s the children, whose hearts are caught between two homes.

The truth is, separation and divorce can leave deep wounds for everyone involved, though each person experiences them differently.

In your opinion, who bears the greatest pain after separation or divorce—the father, the mother, or the children? Why?

👇 Let’s have a respectful discussion.

* If you have raised children alone, what has been your greatest challenge?

* If an ex-spouse genuinely changes and asks for reconciliation, should the children’s future be a reason to consider it?

💬 Let’s discuss with wisdom and respect. Every family has a different story, and your perspective may help someone else.
