OFFICIAL STATEMENT

POSTPONEMENT OF THE NNEWI BIG BRAIN CHALLENGE 2026

We wish to announce the postponement of the Nnewi Big Brain Challenge 2026, earlier scheduled to take place as part of the 2026 Nnewi Afiaolu Festival.

Following careful consideration and extensive deliberation, we have resolved to reschedule the competition to December 2026, with the specific date to be announced in due course.

This decision has become necessary as we continue to strengthen and formalise the operations of the Nnewi Big Brain Challenge.

We consider it important to strengthen the appropriate structures already in place in order to guarantee transparency, accountability, and proper coordination of the Nnewi Big Brain Challenge.

We understand that this postponement may come as a disappointment to our contestants, sponsors, partners, supporters, and everyone who has looked forward to the competition. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause and appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as same was done for the overall best interest of all parties.

How to Qualify

1. Record a video of not more than 2 minutes.

2. In your video, introduce yourself by stating:

Your full name

Your quarter in Nnewi

Your age

3. Answer the four questions orally in the same video.

4. Send your video via WhatsApp to either of the numbers below:
