An interactive section between the representatives of Anambra Odinani/ Omenala practitioners and representatives of Anambra State governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo commissioner of information and commissioner of culture and tourism at the state secretariat Awka.
In his words the honourable commissioner told the Odinani delegates who trouped out in great numbers men and women the agenda of Anambra State governor The commissioner made it clear that the state government is not after real Odinani practitioners rather the evil dibia among them like okeite, uduakomili ibibo and other dangerous rituals that are associated with human parts all dibia associated with the above ritual should be far from Anambra territories.
They encouraged the Odinani practitioners to come up with a central body like union where information can be desiminated, prolifile members for easy recognition.
He told the group that Prof Chukwuma Soludo is never against Odinani rather he needs the best out of the people whom God bless with craft of agwu and ose na abụọ to build Anambra to the envy of other eastern states. He told the delegates that there's window of amnesty for evil doers to repent now. There's the window of prolifiling of all native doctors to submit their name and data through the office of commissioner of culture and tourism free of charge. He told the delegates that nobody should approach them for any money that all should submit their names through relevant quarter for easy identification.
Other people in attendance were ASATU chairman, SSA on culture and other notable cultural government officials.
In their response the Odinani practitioners solicited that their members should be among organs or body taking decision about traditional matters in government house
Removing completely criminalisation of going to river to make sacrifice.
Checkmating police and other security agency of the state government from harassing people on the street and other places with spiritual materials.
Stopping some disgruntled PG from using the new law to witch-hunt opposition like what happened at Akpo community few days ago.
Finally all eulogize Prof Chukwuma Soludo for giving Anambraian a quality representative through good road, security and other essential good governance.
