🌈 What if the person you're meant to find doesn't look like what you expected?
While you're busy looking for the perfect person, you'll probably miss the imperfect person who could make you perfectly happy.
I used to have this mental checklist. They had to be this way, do that thing, fit into these exact boxes I'd created in my mind. And every time someone didn't tick every box, I'd move on, convinced I was just being "selective."
But here's what I've learned: perfectionism in love isn't protection—it's often fear dressed up as standards.
The people who've brought the most joy into my life? They weren't perfect. They were real. They showed up with their quirks, their growth edges, their beautiful mess of humanity. And somehow, that realness created something more fulfilling than any checklist ever could.
I'm not saying to abandon your values or settle for less than you deserve. Your non-negotiables matter. But maybe some of those "must-haves" are actually "nice-to-haves" in disguise.
Sometimes the person who challenges us to grow, who loves us through our own imperfections, who shows up consistently even when it's not Instagram-perfect—that's the one worth holding onto.
Maybe they don't look like what you expected because you were looking for a fantasy, not a person.
The truth is, real love rarely matches our Pinterest boards or our perfectly curated lists. It shows up messy, surprising, and often in ways we didn't plan for.
But when you find someone who sees you—really sees you—with all your own imperfections, and loves you anyway? That's when you realize the image in your head was never the point.
So my dear, the person you're meant to find might not match your expectations, but they'll exceed them in ways you never knew mattered.
Stay open 🤍
