Would Jesus have died if Adam didn't eat of the tree?
Well, God has predestinated salvation in Christ before the world began.
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began.
Basic.
God presdesinated the believer to eternal life before the world began.
How?
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2 Timothy 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
2 Timothy 1:11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
In Christ.
Before the world began!
Via the gospel.
Unto immortality.
Okay, but sin came into the picture, so how did God decide Jesus should die?
Would Jesus have died if Adam didn't sin?
Yes!
How?
Well, God knew all that man would do before the world began and factored all into His predestination plan.
His predestination covers all that will happen and has happened.
Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
His death was predestinated.
He died for sin.
1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.
So how do you explain this?
It is simple.
Imagine you plan to build a structure to accommodate people but you also plan for all the load, weight, abuse etc that the building will take so you make the structure in such a way that it handles all!
Now, you are not the one inspiring the people to abuse the building.
You are not the one inspiring them to do wrong.
But your building has made plans for all that will happen.
That is PREDESTINATION!
God's plan covers all!
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Blessed.
