The baton has officially been handed over to our new leadership ✨

This morning, just before training, our former Head Coach and now Managing Director, Meshack Ogonna Ugwuishi, presented the two trophies he won for Nsukka Legends Football and Vocational Academy during his coaching reign (2020–2025).

🏆 August 2020 – Meshack guided our then U15s to the Ovoko U15 Championship. After an unbeaten run to the final in his hometown, we narrowly lost 1-0 to Amateur FC Ovoko and proudly lifted the runners-up trophy. A truly special moment for him and the academy.

🏆 August 30th, 2025 – In his farewell match, Meshack led our current U15s to a 1–0 victory over ODERA FA to clinch the Meshack’s Farewell Cup.

During the presentation, Meshack reminded everyone that his mission has never been “winning at all costs,” but rather the growth and development of players. He encouraged the new coaches to give their very best and push the academy to even greater heights.

Our CEO, Tobe Eze, has taken to social media to pour out his heart in reaction to the touching farewell gesture of our outgoing head coach, Meshack Ogonna Ugwuishi.

On his final day in charge, Coach Meshack presented six pairs of football boots and six jerseys to our most improved U15 players — a gift that speaks volumes about his passion, kindness, and love for the lads.

In his post, the CEO recalled how he once benefitted from the same act of generosity in 2016 from his own coach, Uchechukwu Misharck Nwodo, who today stands tall as our Academy Director. Truly, the cycle of kindness continues.
