“We Are Ready” — JAMB Draws the Battle Line for 2026 UTME
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has declared its full readiness to conduct the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), announcing that registration will officially begin in the *first quarter of 2026*.
This bold declaration was contained in JAMB’s latest official bulletin, which confirmed that all critical preparations have been completed—leaving no room for excuses, delays, or disorder.
According to the Board, accreditation, validation, and multi-layer security checks for CBT centres, personnel, and all stakeholders involved in the 2026 UTME registration have been fully concluded. JAMB insists the system is now locked, fortified, and ready.
The Board emphasized that the 2026 exercise is not business as usual. Lessons drawn from the post-registration and examination reviews of the 2025 UTME have been aggressively applied, resulting in new technological and operational upgrades aimed at eliminating loopholes, tightening transparency, and restoring absolute system integrity.
In unmistakable terms, JAMB issued a stern warning to fraudsters, racketeers, and anyone plotting registration or examination malpractice: stay away.
Any attempt to compromise the 2026 UTME, the Board warned, will attract severe legal consequences, as the system has been deliberately designed to detect, trace, and punish infractions.
> “The management of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has concluded all necessary accreditation, validation, and security checks for centres, personnel, and stakeholders involved in the 2026 UTME registration exercise,” the bulletin stated.
It added pointedly:
> “Individuals or groups intending to perpetrate registration or examination infractions are hereby warned to keep away from the 2026 UTME registration process scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.”
The message is clear: 2026 UTME will be tighter, tougher, and uncompromising.
For serious aspirants, it is time to prepare.
For manipulators, the door is shut.
