TOPIC: DIVINE DIRECTION AND PRESERVATION

SCRIPTURE: And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
1 Kings 17:2-3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The power of darkness is destroyed by the force of light.

It has been established that Divine direction is the aversion of destruction. Satanic destruction can be averted by the force of Divine direction. The Bible confirms this in 1kings 17:2-3, And the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.
That is, God was telling Elijah, I know you can call down fire, but there is a time to hide. Hide yourself by the brook Cherith, that is beyond Jordan. I alone know why I want you to hide. I am not saying you lack faith. I am saying use your faith for other more important things; use your faith to tackle other matters. This time, just hide.

That direction delivered Elijah. And if Elijah had said, “Oh, I have already shut the heavens and there is no rain. Any devil who wants to dare me can come,” then he could have been cut short before his time.

Beloved, any life that is void of Divine direction is vulnerable. Any investment that loses connection with Divine direction has no future.

Now, what is the connection between Divine Direction and preservation? What is the effect of Divine Direction on the preservation of life and destiny?

1. Divine direction brings instructions on steps to take to avert destruction (1Samuel 23:10-13, 1kings 17:2-3).
2. Divine direction and revelation unveil enemy’s secrets and mysteries (Daniel 2:17-19). Enemy’s secrets and mysteries are unveiled by Divine revelation and when they are unveiled, they can be reversed. The power of darkness is destroyed by the force of light (John 5:1).

3. Divine direction and revelation fuel faith for preservation (Acts 27:22-25). The Voice of God fuels faith; faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

4. Divine revelation or direction is always accompanied by Divine Presence (Psalms 23:1-4).

5. Divine direction or revelation comes with angelic Presence. God’s messenger accompanies His revelations. And of course, you know that angels have the assignment of preservation (Exodus 14:19, Exodus 23:20).
6. Divine directions or revelations fuel intercession unto preservation (1Timothy 1:18). Revelations fuel spiritual warfare unto victory.

Remember this: The power of darkness is destroyed by the force of light.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Never undermine any Divine instruction given to you through a revelation.
2. Whenever you receive Divine revelations proceed to handle it at the altar of prayer.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to follow the instruction You are giving me in this season. Unravel every mystery surrounding my life, and nullify the agenda of darkness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: ALL FLESH ARE LIKE GRASS

SCRIPTURE: The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass.
Isaiah 40:6-7

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If you are not saved, you are not safe.

Our anchor Scripture has confirmed that all flesh is like grass. This applies especially to a man or woman who is without God.

Everyone you see today, no matter how beautiful, handsome, powerful, influential or popular, is like grass, according to the Scripture. There were people who appeared so powerful in their prime time as though they could not bow to the forces of life, but they all bowed. People like Adolf Hi**er of Germany, Idi Amin of Uganda, etc. all succumbed to the eternal force.

The truth is, when a man has no relationship with God, he is as a normal, ordinary and natural flesh. He is vulnerable, perishable, temporary, and therefore, susceptible to environmental conditions, and demonic oppressions. He is likened to grass because grass is feeble and short-lived.

Now, how do you escape the general circumstances of humanity (Flesh)?

1. Be planted in the Garden of God (Psalm 92:12). All grasses may fall into the general class of grass, but they differ in destiny and durability depending on the uniqueness of their location. The ones in the garden are tended and protected, but those in the wild are either left to dry and die in dry weather or cut down and burned up.

Beloved, if you are not connected to God, you are not safe; if you are not saved, you are not safe.

2. Be exposed to rainfall. If you do not want to dry up, let the rain of the Holy Ghost fall on you constantly. The Spirit of God is like a rain to man (Zechariah 10:1).

3. Be planted on fertile ground (Psalm 1:1-end). Be exposed to the sunlight of God (Psalm 84:11). That is, be exposed to the Presence of God.

Beloved, surrender your life to God completely and remain connected to Him for the guarantee of your preservation in time and in eternity. You shall not be wasted like grass in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: If you are not saved, you are not safe.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Ensure that your relationship with God is always sound.

2. Avoid the works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).

3. Go over the reading again and follow the outlined escape route from destruction.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. Please draw me close to You every moment of my life. Help me to live for You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

TOPIC: DOMINION BY FIGHT

SCRIPTURE: And David smote Hadarezer king of Zobah unto Hamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Euphrates.
1Chronicles 18:3

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You don't enlarge your territory until you engage the enemy.

Our anchor scripture reveals that dominion cannot be established without a fight. Everyone who understands what it means to take charge understands what it means to be a fighter.

The fighting spirit is a major secret of dominion. David smote Hadarezer king of Zobar unto Hamath as he went to establish his dominion by the river Euphrates. He fought to establish his dominion. So, beloved, if you want to expand dominion, establish dominion or exercise dominion, you need the spirit of a fighter.

No wonder, Psalm 89:19 says, …I have laid help upon one that is mighty…. The word ‘mighty’ in Hebrew literally translates to the word ‘fighter’ in English.
In scripture, we see Jacob as one example of men who understood what it meant to take charge with a fighting spirit. Jacob was a fighter from the womb of his mother (Genesis 25: 21- 23). Verse 23 says, And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger. The summary is, strong people dominate, and weak people capitulate. The strong dominate and the weak are dominated.

Beloved, whether you are capitulating or dominating is a matter of fighting capability.
Jacob continued the fight in Genesis 25:30-34; he fought until he got the birthright. He also got the blessing by another fight (Genesis 27:25-28). In the house of Laban, he fought not to be cheated again (Genesis 31:6-9). Laban had deceived him and changed his wages ten times. He fought back and God took away the cattle of Laban and gave to him by a technology that was beyond Laban’s comprehension (Genesis 30: 37-43). To crown it all, he fought (wrestled) with an angelic being who told him, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men and hast prevailed (Genesis 32:28).

Beloved, you don't enlarge your territory until you engage the enemy. If you must enlarge your territory, you must be ready to engage the enemy. If you must exercise your dominion, you must be ready to engage your enemy.

Beloved, receive the impartation of the fighting Spirit to fight and exercise dominion through life in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: You don't enlarge your territory until you engage the enemy.

ASSIGNMENT (S):
1. Maintain the mentality of a winner anywhere you find yourself; refuse to entertain fear.

2. Ask God to baptize you with the fighter’s spirit.

3. Take charge everywhere in everything you do.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that you baptize me with the spirit of a fighter. I take charge everywhere, and I have it how I want it, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
