π« βInside the Life of an Assistant Teacher πππβ
Let me tell you about my day as an assistant teacherβ¦
I reached school before 7 a.m. β eyes half open, heart full of hope π
I even told myself, βToday, I will be calm. I will not shout.β
But before 8 oβclock, one child already cried because his pencil broke π
Another one poured water on his uniform, and another whispered, βAunty, I want to wee-weeβ¦β β too late π©π
I looked around and said quietly, βJehovah, this is your child, please handle it.β π
Snack time came, and I thought peace had finally entered the classroom π
But one child cried because his friend took half biscuit! Half o ππ
At that point, I didnβt even know if I should laugh or cry.
Nap time came next. They said, βLet them sleep.β π΄
But one was singing, one was dancing, and another one was asking for rice ππ©
I sat down, looked at their little faces, and just smiled. These small people are full of energy and drama. ππ
Then it happened again β one child cried because he missed his mummy,
And suddenly the whole class started crying ππ
I became the choir mistress of tears, with no microphone, no instrument β just emotions everywhere π
But when closing bell finally rang π
And I saw parents picking up their little ones, calling their names with smiles and hugs β
I felt something warm inside me. π
Because even though Iβm tired, sweaty, and my back is paining me π©
I know that I am helping shape these tiny humans with love and patience every single day. π±
They may not remember my name in the futureβ¦
But they will remember the aunty who wiped their tears, fixed their snacks, tied their shoelaces, and taught them how to say βsorryβ and βthank you.β π₯Ήπ
So yes β I might not wear a big title,
But Iβm proud to be an Assistant Teacher β the silent hero behind every smiling child. πΌβ¨
