🛠️ From Cables to Code: My Technical Journey So Far 🔌💻

I’m proud of the journey I’ve walked in my career — a path filled with challenges, growth, and opportunities to make real impact.

🔹 I began as the Managing Director at Charlie Computer Services, where I gained strong experience in tech solutions and customer support.

🔹 I worked at Dangote Sugar Refinery (DSR) Numan as an Instrument Technician, where I gained hands-on experience with:
– Centrifugal machines
– VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
– DCS (Distributed Control Systems)
– PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
– Control valves, level and pressure transmitters
– Automation upgrades
– And expertise in electrical installations, troubleshooting, and process control.

🔹 I’m also the CEO of I-Max Computer Institute, Ngbalang, where I support ICT growth and train young minds in computer literacy.

🔹 Currently, I'm working in oil industry, expanding my experience in industrial automation and electrical systems on a much larger scale. Every day brings new challenges — and new ways to grow.

Through every stage, I’ve learned that hard work, consistency, self-development, and humility are the keys to lasting success.

🔧 THE SILENT KILLER: DUST ON ELECTRIC MOTORS ⚠️

A lot of people don’t realize how dangerous dust can be — especially when it comes to electric motors. It may look harmless, but it’s quietly damaging your equipment.

Here’s what dust does to electric motors:

🔥 1. Overheating:
Dust blocks cooling fins and air vents, trapping heat. Motors overheat and eventually burn out.

⚡ 2. Reduced Lifespan:
A dusty motor works harder, wears faster, and fails earlier than expected.

🔥 3. Fire Risk:
In environments like palm oil mills, dust can be flammable. Combine that with hot motors, and you’ve got a serious fire hazard.

⚙️ 4. Bearing and Seal Damage:
Dust gets into parts where it shouldn’t be, causing vibration, wear, and failure.

✅ What’s the solution?
– Clean your motors regularly
– Blow out cooling vents and fins
– Include cleaning in your maintenance routine
– Use covers or filters where needed
– Report signs of overheating early

A temperature transmitter is an industrial device used to convert the signal from a temperature sensor (like a thermocouple or RTD) into a standard output signal that can be sent to a control system, PLC, DCS, or monitoring device.

🔧 Basic Working Principle:

1. Sensing: The temperature sensor (RTD or thermocouple) detects the process temperature.

2. Signal Conversion: The raw signal (millivolt for thermocouples or resistance for RTDs) is weak and non-linear.

3. Transmitting: The transmitter amplifies, linearizes, and converts it into a standard signal — typically:

4–20 mA (most common)

0–10 V

Digital signals (e.g., HART, Modbus, or Foundation Fieldbus)

🔄 Types of Temperature Transmitters:

1. Head-mounted: Installed inside the sensor connection head.

2. DIN rail-mounted: Installed in control panels.

3. Field-mounted: Designed for harsh environments, usually with a protective housing.
