Facebook and Instagram algorithm no be your friend o.It’s not wicked, but it’s not sentimental either. It’s not looking at how fine your design is.It’s not clapping for your hard work. It’s not favouring who has been here the longest. The algorithm is not emotional — it’s logical. And what does it care about?
ENGAGEMENT.
CONSISTENCY.
RETENTION.
Here’s what the algorithm wants you to understand:
📌 Don’t just post — keep people STAYING.”If people click and scroll past your video in 2 seconds, the algorithm marks it as uninteresting. But if they watch till the end, like, comment, or share — it pushes it to more people. It’s that simple.
📌 Show up often or disappear quietly.”You post once a week and expect magic? The algorithm will ghost you like a bad date. But the ones posting 3-5x a week? Even with less quality? They’re gaining reach.
📌 I reward conversation, not silence. ”No comments? No replies? No reactions? The system assumes your post is boring. But once you spark dialogue — boom, more eyes.
📌 I don’t push what’s not consistent. ”You can’t confuse the algorithm. Today you’re dancing, tomorrow you’re preaching, next week you vanish. Be clear. Be focused. Be predictable in your niche, and it will favour you.
📌 You don’t need to go viral — you need to be visible.”Going viral once means nothing if you disappear. But showing up small, consistently, builds loyal followers and steady growth.
📌 I don’t care how long you’ve been here. Someone that started last month but understands engagement will outrank you who started in 2021 but still posts like it’s a notice board. So ask yourself…
• Are you posting what your audience wants to see, or just what you feel like?
• Are you creating with a strategy or just vibes?
• Are you using hooks? Subtitles? Clear captions? Calls to action? The algorithm is not wicked — it’s just coded. Once you understand how it thinks, you’ll stop feeling frustrated and start getting results.
📌 So study your analytics.
📌 Test different formats.
📌 Stay consistent even when the views are low. Because once it notices you’re not joking — it will start pushing your content.
