KK Raji Has Transformed NBTI, Unlocked Youth Innovation — Bolaji Abdulrauf

The Founder of the Bolaji Abdulrauf Foundation, Bolaji Abdulrauf, has commended the Director-General of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr. Kazim Kolawole Raji, popularly known as KK Raji, for transforming the agency through innovation-driven and youth-focused initiatives.

Abdulrauf, in a statement made available to Just Event Online TV on Monday, described NBTI’s Next-Gen Innovation Challenge as one of the initiatives demonstrating Raji’s commitment to discovering and developing the creative potential of Nigerian youths.

According to him, the programme has provided young Nigerians with a platform to showcase innovative ideas capable of addressing challenges in areas such as agriculture, renewable energy, security and other sectors of national development.

“Dr. KK Raji is a transformer who has reshaped and placed NBTI in a better position. Part of his transformation is the Innovation Challenge, which has unlocked the natural potential and zeal of our youths to compete for the best,” Abdulrauf said.

He noted that many young Nigerians have brilliant ideas but lack the funding, mentorship, technical support and platforms needed to transform those ideas into viable businesses.

He therefore urged investors, governments, development organisations and other stakeholders to support young innovators, stressing that meaningful investment in youth innovation could create jobs, attract investment and provide solutions to societal challenges.

Abdulrauf disclosed that his decision to support the programme financially was driven by his confidence in the potential of the participating innovators. He revealed that he contributed ₦10 million towards the initiative.

He said the contribution was intended to strengthen the programme and encourage the development of promising ideas into sustainable ventures.

“When the youth are not challenged, they may become distracted. That is why initiatives like this are important. The challenge will bring out the best in our young people and encourage them to think creatively,” he added.

Abdulrauf also praised Raji’s leadership at NBTI, saying the agency’s transformation demonstrates the impact that innovative and result-oriented leadership can have on public institutions.

He argued that the role of a Director-General should go beyond occupying an office, stressing that public-sector leaders must constantly seek new ways to improve their institutions and deliver meaningful results.

“If every Director-General could be like him, if every DG could be innovative like him and think about how to make the agency better, all our agencies would be a better place than they are right now,” he said.

He called on other heads of government agencies to emulate what he described as Raji’s innovative leadership approach, saying that creativity, accountability and commitment to results remain essential to repositioning public institutions and driving sustainable national development.

National President, Offa Descendants Union (ODU)*

*A MAN WHO STOOD HIS GROUND*

Dr. Muideen Salako is a man who was ready—and remains ready—to go all out for the betterment, unity, progress, and dignity of his people.

His commitment has been tested in many ways. His faith was tested with money, biased promises, pressure, and opportunities to compromise. Yet, through it all, he stood his ground.

*He chose principle over personal gain.
He chose loyalty over convenience.
He chose his people over selfish interests.*

When others may have been tempted to look away, he remained steadfast. His message has always been clear:

“My people, or nothing.”

A true leader is not measured by what he receives, but by what he is willing to sacrifice for those he represents.

Dr. Muideen Salako — The General.
A man who went to war for his people and refused to betray them.

For the people. For Offa. For ODU.

Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS Challenges Offa LG Chairman Over Alleged Silence on Taiye Omotosho Records

Offa, Kwara State — The Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS has challenged the Chairman of Offa Local Government over his alleged failure to respond to a formal letter submitted by the group’s legal office requesting clarification and relevant records concerning Hon. Taiye Omotosho.

According to the group, the letter seeks official information regarding allegations that Hon. Taiye Omotosho was owed certain payments before and around the period when she obtained the State House of Assembly nomination form.

Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS expressed disappointment over what it described as the chairman’s continued silence, alleging that his failure to respond could create the impression that the matter is being handled along political lines.

The group stressed that its request is not intended to witch-hunt anyone but to establish the facts through official records and due process.

“We expect the local government chairman to respond to a formal request from our legal office and make the relevant records available. Transparency should not be sacrificed for political interests,” the group stated.

Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS further warned that if the chairman continues to ignore the request, it may be left with no option but to seek legal redress.

The group said it is prepared to approach the appropriate court to compel the release of relevant information if necessary, stressing that “where transparency fails, the law must take its course.”

The group therefore called on the Offa Local Government Chairman to respond to the letter and provide the requested information, saying that doing so would help clear the air and prevent unnecessary political controversy.

Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS maintained that the issue should be resolved through facts, official records and due process rather than political maneuvering.

**Alleged Irregularities in Essa/Sawo/Igboidun APC Primary Must Be Addressed, Says APC LIKE-MINDS*

The APC LIKE-MINDS
has reiterated its rejection of what it describes as the alleged imposition of a candidate in the APC primary election for the Essa/Sawo/Igboidun State Constituency, calling on the leadership of the party to provide answers to questions surrounding the screening process.

According to the group, documents and information available to it indicate that aspirants who purchased nomination forms were cleared by the party's national headquarters in Abuja.

However, the group questioned why, in its view, only Hon. Taiye Omotosho was declared cleared at the state level before the primary election, while other aspirants reportedly received their clearance on the morning of the exercise.

The group stated that this sequence of events has raised concerns among party members and supporters, urging the APC leadership to provide a clear explanation in the interest of transparency, fairness, and internal democracy.

"We deserve answers. Party members deserve to know why there appeared to be different timelines in the clearance process for aspirants.

Transparency is essential to maintaining confidence in the party's internal democratic processes," the statement read.
APC LIKE-MINDS maintained that the future of the APC in Offa Local Government depends on the confidence of party faithful in the integrity of its processes. The group warned that if concerns raised by members are not adequately addressed, the controversy surrounding the Essa/Sawo/Igboidun primary could have political consequences for the party in the area.

The group therefore appealed to the national and state leadership of the APC to thoroughly review the issues raised, provide a transparent account of the screening process, and take steps that will strengthen unity and public confidence within the party.

APC LIKE-MINDS reaffirmed that its position is motivated by its commitment to justice, fairness, internal democracy, and the long-term success of the All Progressives Congress.

PRESS CONFERENCE BY KWARA APC LIKE-MINDS, OFFA LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Theme:

A Call for Justice, Transparency, Fairness and Internal Democracy in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwara State

PROTOCOL

We respectfully extend our warm greetings to the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

We also salute the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq; the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Prince Sunday Fagbemi; distinguished party leaders and stakeholders; members of the press; and all Nigerians following this briefing.

Ladies and gentlemen,

We welcome you to this important press conference convened by Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS, a platform of committed and loyal members of our great party who believe that truth, justice, fairness, transparency, and internal democracy are essential for the continued growth and success of the APC.

Let us state unequivocally that our movement is not against the APC. We are proud members of the party and remain committed to its ideals and electoral success. However, genuine loyalty requires us to speak whenever we believe that injustice, exclusion, or actions capable of weakening the party are taking place.

Today, we speak with a heavy heart over what we believe is the gradual erosion of internal democracy within our party, particularly in Offa Local Government and parts of Kwara State.

Our Concerns

The APC in Offa was built through the sacrifices, commitment, and hard work of thousands of loyal members. It does not belong to any individual or group of individuals. Every stakeholder, aspirant, youth, woman, elder, and party faithful deserves equal respect, equal opportunity, and fair treatment.

Sadly, many members have expressed dissatisfaction with recent developments. Rather than promoting unity, certain actions have created division, frustration, and a growing feeling of exclusion among party members.

We believe that personal interests, favoritism, and excessive political influence are gradually replacing the principles of fairness and collective leadership upon which our party was built.

The experience of the last local government chairmanship election should have served as a lesson to all of us. Instead of correcting past mistakes, many members fear that similar patterns are being repeated. If these concerns remain unaddressed, the party risks avoidable internal crises and electoral setbacks.

Questions Requiring Official Clarification

In the interest of accountability and transparency, we respectfully request official clarification on the following issues:

1. Is Arabinrin Taiye Omotosho of Essa/Shawo/Igbodun Constituency still serving as an appointee under the Offa Local Government Authority?

2. If yes, is she currently receiving salary or any other remuneration from the Local Government?

3. If applicable, when was her last salary or official remuneration paid?

These are straightforward questions whose answers will help clear public speculation and strengthen confidence among party members.

Concerns Over the APC Primary Election

The APC primary election for the Essa/Shawo/Igbodun State Constituency featured several distinguished and qualified aspirants, including:

- Hon. Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yusuf (JK)
- Hon. Sharafadeen Babatunde Oladapo (Laka)
- Hon. Sefiu Sempe Royal
- Hon. Adebisi Oroye
- Hon. Bolaji BJ
- Hon. Hammed Omu-Iyadun (Mobikita)
- Hon. Taiye Omotosho

Considering the quality and contributions of these aspirants, many party members have continued to raise concerns about the process that eventually produced the party's candidate.

We therefore respectfully ask the party leadership:

- What criteria were adopted for the screening exercise?
- Who constituted the screening committee?
- Why was only one aspirant reportedly cleared initially before others were later cleared shortly before the primary election?
- Were all aspirants treated fairly and equally throughout the process?

These are legitimate questions deserving honest and transparent answers.

We have heard arguments that the eventual candidate emerged because of loyalty to the party. If loyalty is indeed the standard, then many members wonder whether the other aspirants—who have equally invested their time, resources, and commitment in building the APC—were considered less loyal.

Many members also observe that Hon. Taiye Omotosho has benefited from several opportunities within the party, including appointment to the Board of the Kwara State Water Corporation, a ₦1.8 million empowerment programme, donation of a vehicle by Hon. Tijjani, Hajj sponsorship, and appointment as a Supervisory Councillor.

While we have no objection to rewarding dedicated party members, we believe opportunities should be distributed fairly so that more loyal members are encouraged and confidence in the party continues to grow.

Merit Must Always Come First

Offa Local Government is blessed with highly accomplished sons and daughters, including professors, medical professionals, lawyers, engineers, entrepreneurs, academics, and experienced public servants.

Our party should always present candidates based on competence, credibility, capacity, integrity, and public acceptance.

Merit, fairness, and due process must remain the foundation of our internal democratic process.

End Intimidation and Promote Internal Democracy

We are concerned by reports from members who believe they face intimidation simply for expressing differing opinions or raising genuine concerns.

Constructive criticism should never be treated as rebellion. Every strong democratic institution grows stronger when members are free to express themselves respectfully.

We therefore urge the State Chairman and all party leaders to ensure that official party affairs are conducted through recognized party structures while protecting the rights of every member to participate without fear.

Reconciliation Must Be Genuine

We commend every aspirant who openly expressed concerns during the reconciliation meetings.

However, reconciliation can only succeed when every aggrieved member is given a fair hearing and genuine assurance that justice, fairness, and equity will prevail.

True reconciliation cannot exist where people feel ignored or excluded.

Ojomu/Balogun Constituency

We congratulate Hon. Seun Ogunniyi Adato on his emergence as the APC candidate for Ojomu/Balogun Constituency.

We wish him success and encourage him to make his next tenure one of exceptional performance, quality representation, and impactful constituency service.

Peaceful Rally and Solidarity March

Kwara APC LIKE-MINDS hereby announces a Peaceful Rally and Solidarity March in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and in affirmation of democratic values, justice, fairness, transparency, and internal democracy.

The rally is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

We call on all participants to remain peaceful, orderly, responsible, and law-abiding throughout the exercise.

Our objective is to demonstrate our unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our commitment to democracy, and our desire for a stronger, more united APC built on justice and fairness.

Our Position

We firmly believe this is the time for APC members across Offa and Kwara State to stand together in defense of justice, transparency, fairness, and internal democracy.

History has consistently shown that those who speak for justice may face criticism today but are often vindicated tomorrow.

We therefore call on the leadership of our great party to engage sincerely with aggrieved members, encourage open dialogue, restore confidence, and strengthen unity through fairness and equal opportunity.

Our movement is not a rebellion.

It is a patriotic call for reform.

It is a sincere appeal for accountability.

It is a demand for internal democracy.

It is a commitment to the continued growth and electoral success of the All Progressives Congress.

Together, we can build a stronger APC founded on justice, equity, transparency, and collective leadership.

May God bless the All Progressives Congress.

May God bless Offa Local Government.

May God bless Kwara State.

May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you.
