Press Release
Public Statement on the Status of Gbugbu Market By Alh. Mohammed Mada Gbugbu.
Dear our fellow brothers and sisters,
We are reaching out to the world to address recent concerns and clarify the situation regarding the suspended Gbugbu Market. It has come to our attention that there are rumors circulating, suggesting that we have called people together and invited them to the market. This is not true.
The Gbugbu Market remains closed, as directed by the local government chairman and the elders of this land. We do not encourage anyone to come to the market at this time. The closure is in effect, and we are committed to respecting the decisions made by our leaders for the safety and well-being of our community.
Many people have come to Gbugbu Market on Wednesdays in the past, seeking means to provide for their families. We understand the importance of the market for livelihoods and the future of many families. However, we want to make it clear that there has been no invitation or announcement from us regarding the reopening of the market. Any information suggesting otherwise is a rumor.
We cannot and will not invite people to the market while it remains officially closed. We fully understand the seriousness of the current situation and the need to act responsibly.
We pray that Allah restores peace to our state, our local government, and all our communities. Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation during this challenging time.
May Allah bless and protect us all.
Signed: Alh Mohammed Mada Gbugbu
Etsu Dzuko Gbugbu.
