Former Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, is quoted as saying that his wife began experiencing frequent headaches a few months after she stopped taking Coca-Cola and switched to fresh orange juice.

According to the claim attributed to Osinbajo, laboratory testing of a batch of the orange juice reportedly revealed that the oranges used were allegedly not fit for human consumption due to chemicals said to have been used by farmers for ripening and preservation.

‎Prince Femi Oyewumi, popularly known by his stage name Laditi, was a veteran Nollywood actor, producer, and director who made a significant impact on the Yoruba film industry. He was particularly celebrated for his roles in epic and historical Yoruba movies.

‎ He was born into the Ajagungbade ruling house in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
‎
‎ Laditi began his acting career in the 1980s.
‎
‎ He was known as a specialist in stage plays, epics, and historical films.

‎Major Works: He featured in several classic Yoruba epics, including, Aye Toto, Koto Orun, Ija Eleye.
‎
‎ As a producer and director, his works included Ogo-nla 1 & 2 (2005) and Alapo-Aje (2007). His final project was the historical movie Ogunojalu Ogbomoso, which focused on the history of his hometown.

Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have arrested two suspected drug peddlers and recovered eight parcels of weeds suspected to be “Canadian Loud” concealed inside a car tyre at a vulcanizer’s shop in the state.

Makinde, Wife Set for Chieftaincy Titles as Aare Soludero, Yeye Aare Soludero of Eruwaland

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and his wife, Engr. Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, are set to be honoured with traditional chieftaincy titles in Eruwaland, Oyo State, on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

According to an announcement by Fresh FM Ibadan, the governor is scheduled to be installed as Aare Soludero of Eruwaland, while his wife will receive the title of Yeye Aare Soludero.

The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Eleruwa Palace in Eruwa, Oyo State beginning at 11:00 a.m. The event is being presented as a significant traditional gathering celebrating culture, heritage and the relationship between traditional institutions and political leadership.

The installation is to be conducted by the Eleruwa of Eruwa, as part of the traditional recognition being accorded the governor and his wife.
