The Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has assigned Portfolios to the Newly Appointed Commissioners who were sworn-in yesterday.

The Governor further effected a minor reshuffle of his Cabinet and created a few more ministries.

The New Composition of the State Executive Council is as follows:

2. Prince Uzo Nwachukwu - Hon. Commissioner Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs.

The Mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief David Ogba Onuoha Bourdex, MFR, OON, Ugo’Ena Nde Abiriba, who just returned from his annual leave attended the monthly meeting of the Ohafia LGA Traditional Rulers Council to the delight and warm embrace of the excited traditional rulers.

This month’s meeting was the first to be held in the newly renovated Traditional Rulers Hall, one of the achievements of the Mayor in his seven months in office.

The Mayor's state of the LGA address covered various topics, including peace and security, budget implementation, internally generated revenue, and infrastructural development within the LGA.

The Council members present at today's meeting included HRH Eze Hon. (Amb) Arunsi N. Uka JP, Chairman; HRH Eze Elder Odum Amogu, Vice Chairman; HRH Eze Elder Dr. Ezera U. Ezera, Secretary/Financial Secretary; HRH Eze Hon. Otuu Irukwu, Treasurer; HRH Eze Elder O.K. Obuma, Welfare Officer; HRH Eze Dr. Oji U. Oji, Provost; HRH Eze U.K. Ukoha; and other members of the council.

Nwaanyị Ocha and her husband Ezenwa enrolled their son Chijioke in a Mercedes-Benz repair course in Enugu. He began learning how to repair Mercedes-Benz vehicles in September last year.

Chijioke does not attend extra lessons after school; instead, he spends his afternoons at his mechanic master's shop. After nine months of learning, Chijioke can now handle minor repairs on Mercedes vehicles, such as changing the oil, replacing brake pads, and changing oil seals, among other minor tasks.

Precious Kalu attended Abia State University Nursery and Primary School in Aba. He then proceeded to Ngwa High School in Aba for his Junior Secondary School education (JSS1-JSS3). He completed his secondary school education with distinctions at Montessori International Secondary School in Aba.

Precious Kalu further pursued higher education at Abia State University in Uturu, where he obtained his LLB degree in Law. He then attended the Nigeria Law School in Bayelsa, obtaining his BL degree. During his time in Law School, he also completed his NYSC in Rivers State.

CAREER EXPERIENCE: Precious kalu gained practical experience in the legal profession during his NYSC at the Ministry of Justice in Port Harcourt for a year. He has worked with esteemed law firms such as Gabriel Emperor Ogbonna and Co. in Aba, Eluthera Chambers in Aba, and Ken AHIA and Associates in Lagos, where he honed his skills and gained valuable knowledge in the legal field.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS: Precious Kalu has a great passion for sports, which has made him quite popular in his community. During his primary school years, he was appointed as the Games Prefect at Abia State University Primary School. In secondary school, he proudly held the position of Sports Prefect at Montessori International Secondary School. In university, he was the Captain and Director of Sports for the Student Union Government at Abia State University. During his time in the Nigerian Law School, he took charge of sports activities. Precious kalu has also had the opportunity to captain various sports clubs in Nigeria. Aside from his love for sports, he actively participates in conferences, both in Nigeria and abroad, and has a keen interest in politics.

Precious kalu is known for his helpful and kind nature. He is committed to assisting others in any way he can and strives to make a positive impact in both his personal and professional life.
