Ubi Franklin Denies Wristwatch Theft Allegations at Davido & Chioma’s Wedding

Nigerian music executive Ubi Franklin has strongly refuted rumors that he stole a wristwatch during Davido and Chioma’s white wedding in Miami, Florida.

The allegations started circulating after Wizkid’s associate, Tufab, claimed that a former label executive had taken a wristwatch at the high-profile event. The speculation intensified when Davido’s brother, Adewale Adeleke, reacted with a laughing emoji, which many interpreted as confirmation of the theft.

In response, Franklin issued a statement on August 13, 2025, explaining the full sequence of events. He said he had initially declined to purchase a wristwatch from Davido’s jeweler, Benny, because it was previously owned. Yet, ValueJet did not allow the most popular Lukumi Yoruba language music crooner, K1 De Ultimate, a fellow Ijebu, like the ValueJet owner, to break the rules.

That is an excellent example of putting country before ethnicity!

Nigeria can only grow when we place our country above our ethnicity.

“I’m Not Mourning My Father—He Ru!ned Our Lives” – Kemi Olunloyo Says

Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo has publicly rejected condolence messages following her father’s death, revealing a traumatic childhood marked by emotional and physical torture, alleged occult practices, and infidelity that tore her family apart.

In a video posted on her social media page, Kemi Olunloyo dismissed sympathisers, directing them to her late father’s page instead. She recounted years of pain, accusing him of destroying their family through abuse, deception, and reckless decisions that led to a horrific incident that paralyzed her younger brother.

Kemi Olunloyo claimed she had a traumatic childhood event when her father’s selfishness led to her been molested sexually while her brother was paralyzed . At 13, Olunloyo recounted, her family was set to travel to Lagos, but her father delayed them for hours, claiming he was at work. Her mother warned against the late trip, but he insisted.

“We left late, and on the way, hoodlums attacked us,” she shared. A rock was hurled into their car, striking her 8-year-old brother, Tayo, and the driver, who died instantly. The assailants then set the vehicle ablaze with the children inside. A rescuer pulled Kemi Olunloyo out, but she hit her head on the pavement and was forced to watch her brother burn alive. She was then sexually assaulted before being rushed to Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), where she received 17 stitches.

Years later, Olunloyo discovered her father’s delay that day was due to an affair. “He lied. He was sleeping with his mistress while we waited,” she said, her voice laced with bitterness. “My assault all of it was his fault.”

Declaring she would never forgive him, Olunloyo made it clear she felt no grief over his passing. “I am not mourning. Send your condolences to his Facebook if you want. I’m still healing from the trauma he caused.”She said.

I am not cheating again – Davido vows as he announces white wedding date with Chioma

Award-winning music star David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has vowed never to cheat again

The singer, in an interview with the Breakfast Club podcast, addressed his controversial personal life, emphasising his dedication to monogamy.

He noted how he went through ordeals with his philandering ways and, as such, has turned a new leaf.

Davido noted how he has five kids with four women and also noted how his uncles, who have polygamous families,, are still facing troubles in their relationship.

“I’m not cheating again. I don’t want wahala. I don’t want any wahala. I have five kids with four women.

I’d rather go and live with how my other guys are living. Maybe because I’ve had bad experiences. Sometimes experience is the best teacher”.

Davido also revealed that he and his wife, Chioma, will hold their white wedding in August in Miami, United States.

South Sudan 🇸🇸 National Football Team Stranded in Libya!

The Bright Stars of South Sudan were stranded in an international Aiport in Libya 🇱🇾
No convinient place to sleep and no free Wifi.

South Sudan touched down in Benghazi, Libya, only to discover plot twists with no no warm reception, no bus, not even free WiFi. Just an empty airport, tumbleweeds, and echoes of their own confusion.

Stranded for 3 plus hours, the players are currently locked in an intense match against boredom, hunger, as their passports have beenseizedby Libya authorities.
