The owner of VlueJet, Kunle Soname, is an Ijebu by tribe and a Lukumi Yoruba by ethnic nationality. The pilot of that ValueJet flight, Captain Oluranti Ogoyi, is also a Lukumi Yoruba woman. Yet, ValueJet did not allow the most popular Lukumi Yoruba language music crooner, K1 De Ultimate, a fellow Ijebu, like the ValueJet owner, to break the rules.
That is an excellent example of putting country before ethnicity!
Nigeria can only grow when we place our country above our ethnicity.
