Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has replied a social media user who mocked her choice of packaging while serving food to her visitors

We reports that the incident begun after Akindele posted a video on Snapchat on Tuesday night showing how she entertained members of her crew in her home.

When they were leaving, she gave them food neatly packed in yellow and black plastic bags

A viewer who watched the clip mocked the actress, saying the bags did not look classy

The person wrote: “Aunty Funke, you are not posh at all. Why use yellow and black nylon?”

Akindele, who is known for addressing such comments directly, gave a sharp reply.

She made it clear that she does not live to please critics and that she chooses how to handle her personal life without seeking approval from others.

She said: “Oh maybe I need to go and get plastic bags from Macy’s or Nordstrom. Elenu shipoti, you can come and buy nylon for me. I already blocked you. It’s a privilege for you to be seeing my snap. At least you can see I am an elderly person even if I am not old enough to be your mum. Wide mouth.”

Dangote Refinery has announced it will stop selling petrol in Naira starting tomorrow, September 28, 2025.

According to a memo to its customers, the refinery said it has run out of crude oil allocations priced in Naira and can no longer sustain PMS sales in the local currency.

Customers currently transacting in Naira have been asked to request refunds, with assurances that further updates will be given once Naira sales resume.

The 44th Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has called for the creation of a state of Ibadan.

The new monarch, while addressing the people of Ibadan after receiving the Staff of Office from Governor Seyi Makinde, asked President Bola Tinubu to make the creation of Ibadan State happen before 2027.
