DO YOU PREFER THE KNOWING OR THE DOING ASPECT?
Knowing is the mental grasp of facts, concepts, processes or truths. It comes from education, experience, reading, observation or being taught.While doing is the action or practice of what you know. Doing shows understanding and builds experience. It is where growth, learning and real results happen.
Knowing has to do with acquiring knowledge, understanding concepts, and learning theories often within a structured environment like a school or course. It builds a foundation by exposing the learner to ideas, principles and skills through instruction and study. For example, in graphic design, education may involve learning about color theory, typography, composition and software tools.
Application, on the other hand, is the act of using that knowledge in real-world contexts. It is where understanding is tested through practice, experimentation and problem-solving. Continuing the design example, application means actually creating designs for clients, dealing with deadlines, revising based on feedback and adapting to unique project constraints.
In essence:
Education answers the question: What do I need to know?
Application answers: How do I use what I know to solve real problems or create value? (This is where self discover takes place the most)
You see that is a huge difference... Transition lies in the gap between them both.
Here it is;
Knowing ----> Application ----> More experience, growth and mastery
True mastery often only comes when both are present just as education provides the map but application is the journey.
