As Anambra Solution Story Challenge hits Onitsha, an elderly woman who lives in Onitsha, Mrs Veronica Mary widely known in Onitsha as "Copper" has revealed her Solution Story. She further prayed for more strength and God's protection on Governor Soludo as he takes the State to the next level of development.

The Solution Story Challenge have gained momentum in Anambra and beyond and it is sponsored by Deputy Mayor of idemili South, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba.

Idemili South Mayor, Hon. Amaka Obi Receives Award For Her Support And Commitment To Empowering Girl-Child.

The Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), on Saturday 21st June, 2025, was honoured in recognition for her outstanding support and commitment in empowering Girl-Child.

The honour was conferred on Hon. Amaka Obi by Seraphine Outreach/Office Of the Girl-Child Ambassador.

Presenting the award, the group said, the decision to honour Hon. Obi stemmed from the impact of her programmes on the Girl-Child in Idemili South and urged others to emulate her.

Receiving the award, Hon. Obi appreciates the group for honouring her, stating that the recognition is a collective efforts of our people and the strides we are making towards uplifting and empowering Girl-Child.

She dedicates the award to Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, his wife, Dr. Mrs Nonye Soludo and the good people of Idemili South local government area, adding that the recognition belong to all of us as it highlights the progress we have made together in creating opportunities and fostering hope for our daughters and future generations.

Interesting Solution Story from Florence Odidika, who is from Ogboji. She shared her Solution Story with song and dance ooo, praising Governor Soludo for awarding Ogboji road. She said that Governor Soludo is the first Governor to construct road in Ogboji, praying for more strength to continue his massive infrastructural project.

WIGA Attends Anambra North Solidarity Rally For Governor Soludo.

The Women Initiative For Greater Anambra, Umu Nwanyi Soludo(WIGA), led by Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), were on ground yesterday as Anambra North holds solidarity rally for Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR.

The solidarity rally which centers on "Sustaining The Solution Legacy; A Path To Disruptive Development In Anambra State".

The rally comprises of current and former elected officials, appointees and key stakeholders from Anambra. The Solidarity Rally witnessed not just the massive turnout of Ndi Anambra North but lovers of good governance including former House of Representative member under PDP, Ogbaru Federal Constituency, Hon. Chuchu Onyema.

Earlier on, Hon. Obi described Governor Soludo as a man prepared for leadership and service to the people, stating that the achievements of unprecedented infrastructural development by Charly Nwa Mgbafor was a confirmation of his preparedness to serve.

Hon. Amaka Obi Congratulates Governor Soludo On Conferment Of Chieftaincy Title, Oluatuegwu.

The Mayor of idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), has congratulated Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo CFR, on the conferment of Chieftaincy title as *Oluatuegwu Nke Izizi na Anambra* by the entire Traditional Rulers of Anambra North.

In a goodwill message made available to her media office, Hon. Obi described the honour as well deserved, stating that Governor Soludo's selfless service and love for the people has been remarkable.

She stated that Charly Nwa Mgbafor has been an icon of good governance and has distinguished himself as committed, dedicated, patriotic, dogged humanitarian and man of the people who has changed the narrative of the people at the grassroots.

While praying that Almighty God will continue to keep Mr. Governor in good health iced with longevity, she added that Governor Soludo's purposeful leadership, ingenuity, steadfastness and genuine commitment to re-engineer the State have made this administration a model and a reference point in the Country.

Skills Acquisition Is Our Pathway To Self Reliance, Hon. Amaka Obi As She Assess Bakery/Catering Sector.

In order to make sure that the skills acquisition trainees reach to the required standard, the Mayor of Idemili South local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), on Friday 20th June, 2025, visited and assessed Catering/Bakery Sector in the council secretariat, Ojoto.

Speaking during the visitation, Hon. Obi lauded them for their commitment since the training was flagged-off, saying that the trainees will not only be self-reliant but also be employers of labour.

Council Mayor said, while we construct roads and other projects, we will not forget to build the capacity of our youths, noting that the training will be continuous.

She added that the programme is inline with Governor Charles Soludo's vision of empowering youths in the state, stating that she is consolidating on the efforts of Mr. Governor on Human Capital Development.

While stating that the quality of meat pie/fish pie produced by the trainees have proven that residents of the council area are industrious, committed and brilliant, Hon. Obi affirmed that the trainees are torch bearers of her Prosperity Administration.

I'm most delighted and humbled for the special recognition and award by the Solution Ladies Movement of Nigeria.

For me, it's an encouragement to do more because we are just starting.

Every woman has the potential and capacity to lead, therefore come out from your hiding place and be an outstanding woman starting from your immediate environment.

I sincerely appreciate this honour and I dedicate this important award to every single woman out there working hard to make a difference.

I must commend the Convener, Mrs Amaka Okafor for the commitment and encourage her not to be distracted.

Hon. Amaka Obi Pays Unschedule Visit To Third Phase Of Skills Acquisition Training Centre.

In her efforts to make women and youths of the council area to be self-reliant and employers of labour, the Mayor of idemili south local government area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi(Iyom Ife-Abata), few months ago, embarked on third phase of skills acquisition training in the council secretariat, Ojoto.

On Tuesday 17th June, 2025, Hon. Amaka Obi paid unscheduled visit to Catering and Confectionery section and expressed satisfaction with the quality of bread they produced, stating that it was inspiring to see the strong commitment of the trainees. She noted that the programme is inline with Governor Charles Soludo's vision to empower the youths of Anambra State.

Hon. Obi noted that the skills acquisition centre had trained over 800 women and youths in the council area in first and second phases in various vocational/technical skills, ranging from fashion design, ICT, Soap making, Make-up artist, Hair dresser and others.

"As the Mayor of idemili south, I am concerned about the future of the youths. The training will provide the necessary training for them and make them economically empowered".

The skills acquisition training also revealed that idemili south Mayor, Hon. Amaka Obi is not playing politics with governance but she is sincerely working to connect the dots and make life better for the people. At the end of the programme, over 500 women and youths will be empowered with equipments to be self-reliant.
