A Family I Worked For L0cked Me Up For 1yr,Each Month They Take My Blaad To Give Their Mother—Victim

Mercy Olugbenga, a lady who was dec€ived and tr@fficked to Libya, has stated that she suff€red t€rrible abuse and d€hum@nization while working there for a family as a m@id

In an interview with Arise TV, Olugbenga said she was l0cked up for a year, d€hum@nized, and s€cretly used for blaad transfus!ons without her consent. She said, "I was l0cked up for a year. In my room they l0ck the door before going out, they l0ck the outside door and the gate before going out."

Mercy said her job was supp0sed to be taking care of her employer's mother in addition to handling house chores. However, she later disc0vered that her employer's mother had k!dney problems. She said, "I was originally there to take care of their mother, apart from the house chores. But along the line I got to know that their mother had k!dney issu€s.”

Mercy explained that every month a nurse would come to the house and draw her blaad, something she initially believed was just part of normal health checks. “So within that period, every month they bring a nurse home to draw my blaad. I thought it was their normal routine.”

Mercy said she later disc0vered that her blaad was being transfus€d to her employer's sick mother without her cons€nt. She said when she resist€d, the family b@eat her up. She said “So later I got to know that my blaad matches with their mom's and they were transfus!ng my blaad to her. So I d€cided to voice out, I told them they can't be withdrawing my blaad for someone and along the line they started b€ating me.”
