*Kogi Central Leaders Pay Tribute to Late Business Tycoon Alh. Salihu Okatahi ‘Kwadeco’*
*Kogi Central* – Prominent figures across Kogi Central gathered to honor the legacy of late business tycoon *Alh. Salihu Okatahi*, popularly known as *Kwadeco*, describing him as a philanthropist whose pharmaceutical business touched countless lives across Kogi State.
The prayer session, organized by his family and coordinated by the Chief Imam of Ebiraland, *Alh. Salihu Abere*, drew Islamic scholars, traditional rulers, government officials, and well-wishers.
Speakers at the event praised Alh. Okatahi’s impact on Ebiraland. *Alh. Abubakar Sanusi Gamji*, Ambassador to Kuwait, said Kwadeco lived a fulfilled life and commended his courage and generosity in supporting many children in Ebiraland through his business. He prayed for the deceased’s eternal rest.
*Barr. Majibi*, Chief Judge of Kogi State, also prayed for the deceased and urged attendees to prioritize religion over sentiment, noting that division only leads to destruction. He called on all to embrace peace and unity regardless of background.
Among those in attendance were *Hon. Abdullahi Ozomata*, *Hon. Jimoh Ozovehe*, incoming Chairman of Adavi LGA, and traditional rulers from across Kogi Central.
Speaking on behalf of the family, *Alh. Abdulmumin Salihu Okatahi*, son of the deceased, thanked those who came to commiserate with them. He expressed gratitude to Kogi State Governor *Alh. Usman Ododo*, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, the Chief Imam, and other Ebira leaders for their support. He pledged that the family would uphold his father’s legacy and continue his work of service to the people.
Alh. Salihu Okatahi ‘Kwadeco’ started his pharmaceutical business at a young age and became known for his contributions to healthcare and community development in Ebiraland.
