🌟 KCYON PUBLIC FIGURE ENGAGEMENT SERIES 🌟

Today, we spotlight a distinguished son of Ebiraland, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN).

Dr. Abdullahi's journey is a testament to the heights that dedication, competence, and visionary leadership can achieve. As a seasoned energy expert with a Ph.D. in Engineering and extensive experience in Nigeria's energy sector, he has represented Nigeria on major international platforms, including the G20, G8, United Nations General Assembly, and global climate conferences.

One of his notable contributions to educational and technological development is the initiation of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), a project aimed at advancing renewable energy knowledge and skills development.

Beyond public service, many young people and vulnerable members of society have benefited from interventions through the DAM Foundation, including scholarship opportunities, empowerment initiatives, support for persons living with disabilities, and community development programs. The foundation's basketball competition has also helped promote Ebiraland and provide a platform for youth engagement and talent discovery.

At KCYON, we believe that public leadership is most impactful when it creates opportunities, inspires hope, and opens doors for others. Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi's commitment to service, human capital development, and sustainable progress offers valuable lessons for the next generation.

We celebrate his achievements and contributions, and we pray that Almighty Allah grants him continued wisdom, strength, protection, and greater opportunities to serve humanity.

May his story inspire more of our youths to pursue excellence, integrity, and service to society.

📢 A CALL FOR GREATER YOUTH ADVOCACY AND OPPORTUNITY IN KOGI CENTRAL

Yesterday, a video circulated on social media showing some young people from Kogi Central expressing frustration over their experience during a recent military recruitment exercise. The youths lamented what they perceived as a lack of support and advocacy compared to what they observed from some other parts of the country.

Regardless of the circumstances surrounding any particular recruitment exercise, the concerns raised in the video highlight a conversation that deserves attention.

Kogi Central is blessed with thousands of talented, educated, disciplined, and hardworking young men and women who aspire to serve their country and contribute meaningfully to society. Whether in the military, civil service, private sector, academia, entrepreneurship, or other professions, our youths deserve access to information, mentorship, guidance, and opportunities.

As a people, we must continue to strengthen the bridges between our youths and our leaders, professionals, public servants, business owners, and other stakeholders who are in positions to provide guidance, recommendations, mentorship, and exposure to opportunities.

This is one of the reasons the Kogi Central Youth Opportunity Network (KCYON) was established.

Our vision is to serve as a platform that connects talented youths with opportunities and connects leaders with the aspirations, talents, and needs of our young people. We believe that when communication, mentorship, and collaboration improve, more doors can open for deserving individuals.

KCYON is committed to:
✅ Sharing job and recruitment opportunities.
✅ Promoting scholarships and educational opportunities.
✅ Connecting youths with mentors and professionals.
✅ Building networks that can create pathways to success.
✅ Advocating for greater youth inclusion and empowerment.

The future of Kogi Central depends on how well we invest in and support our young people today.

Let us work together—not in blame, but in partnership—to create a Kogi Central where talent is recognized, opportunities are accessible, and no deserving young person feels alone in pursuing their dreams.

Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous, and more inclusive Kogi Central.

🎉 WELCOME TO KOGI CENTRAL YOUTH OPPORTUNITY NETWORK (KCYON) 🎉

A new chapter begins today.

Kogi Central is blessed with thousands of talented, intelligent, skilled, and hardworking young people. From engineers to doctors, lawyers to teachers, entrepreneurs to innovators, our youths possess the capacity to compete and excel anywhere in the world.

Yet, many remain disconnected from opportunities that can transform their lives and unlock their full potential.

That is why we are proud to launch the Kogi Central Youth Opportunity Network (KCYON) — a platform created to connect our youths with opportunities, information, mentorship, and the networks they need to succeed.

🌟 Through KCYON, we will:
✅ Share job opportunities
✅ Promote scholarships and grants
✅ Provide career guidance and mentorship
✅ Support entrepreneurship and innovation
✅ Highlight achievements of Kogi Central youths
✅ Connect talents with employers and decision-makers
✅ Advocate for greater youth inclusion and empowerment

We believe that when opportunity meets talent, extraordinary things happen.

Our vision is simple: a Kogi Central where no qualified youth is left behind because they lacked information, exposure, mentorship, or a helping hand.

This is more than a platform. It is a movement for empowerment, excellence, and progress.

Whether you are a student, graduate, professional, entrepreneur, employer, mentor, public servant, or community leader, there is a place for you in this journey.

Join us as we build bridges, create opportunities, and inspire the next generation of leaders from Kogi Central.
