My Man’s mother sent me this text message and I have been in shock, how do I approach this?

Good morning my lovely daughter in law
I been up all night trying
to figure out if I should even tell you this, but my heart won't let me stay quiet. I don't want to be the one bringing you bad news, especially knowing you and my son have been together for over 6 years and y'all supposed to be getting married in November. But he got a baby on the way by another woman.
I know this is going to hurt you and probably break your heart, and trust me this is hurting me too because I love you like one of my own. You didn't deserve this at all.
You have been loyal, patient, loving, and stood by him through everything. I just couldn't sit there and let you walk into a marriage without knowing the truth first.
Please don't think any of this is your fault, baby, because it's not. A good woman can only do so much.
I just want the best for you and l pray one day you get the love you truly deserve.

I am about to cut off one of my closest friends. He spotted a job opportunity a while back, told me about it, and we both applied. I got the job, he didn't. Since he had no income at the time, we agreed that I would give him 50% of my earnings until he found work. I kept my word for three full months.
Then I used my connections to secure him an even better-paying job than mine. When his first salary came, he said he could only give me 40% instead of 50% because of family bills. I accepted. He was supposed to bring the money that morning, but claimed he had to visit his uncle first. I wasn't comfortable with it, but I didn't push.
The total was 400k, so my 40% share was 160k. He never showed up at my house like he used to when he was broke and hungry. I waited until 8pm, then went looking for him.
I found him chilling with friends. He stretched out his hand and gave me just 6,000 naira.
When I confronted him, he made excuses about family issues, saying i should understand because he is married with two kids and I am single and I don’t have responsibilities yet. I left the 6,000 naira with him and walked away.

I am a professional Chef, I worked with a big hotel in Lagos until I lost my job, my wife works but doesn’t earn much, I am the primary provider, and this has caused a strain in our marriage because I wasn’t getting a new gig fast enough, I only got small event jobs but it wasn’t paying the bills, at some point I gave up and stopped trying, see I was depressed and my wife didn’t make it easy, after a while she kept nagging me to stop lazing around the house and just eating food insisting that I go get any job. I spoke to friend of mine, a friend I know she hates because she keeps saying he is a womanizer, he introduced me to his boss to be her full-time residential Chef, i am to cook her daily meals and if she has a party in her house, I am required to stay over to see things through (I explained to her that I am newly married and I can’t live in but I will come first thing in the morning and leave after her dinner). The offer was N 750,000 per month, I felt it was a good offer for a start and I could use this to market myself to higher prospective clients. When I told my wife about it she adamantly refused that don’t i know i am a married man, why will I be cooking for a woman except i have ulterior motives, I won’t lie that offended me, we both know how much I need a job, i said somethings i should not have said to her and she said if I take the job i should forget about the marriage, at this point I almost don’t care, she is being unreasonable. I don’t know how I will tell my friend that I am turning down the job after he stuck his neck out for me, how do i convince my wife?
