“Water is Life” Project Commissioned in Olamaboro LGA — A Lifeline for Communities, A Testament to Good Governance

The Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , officially commissioned the “Water is Life” multi-million Naira water project across the LGA.

Representing the Governor at the commissioning was the Accountant General of Kogi State, Chief Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, who conveyed the Governor’s unwavering commitment to improving access to clean and safe water across all communities in Kogi State.

This transformative project was facilitated by Chief Dr. Joseph Erico Ameh — a respected philanthropist, security expert, and a proud son of Olamaboro. A dedicated chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Ameh emphasized his resolve to complement the efforts of the Ododo-led administration, especially in tackling water scarcity across Kogi East.

As part of his contributions to community development and security enhancement, Dr. Ameh also donated a Sienna Bus to the Nigeria Police Force, Imane Division, to support the ongoing efforts to strengthen local security infrastructure.

The Executive Chairman of Olamaboro LGA, Hon. Comr. Comr Ameh Williams , expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ododo for his exemplary leadership and impactful governance. He pledged the unflinching support of Olamaboro LGA for the Governor’s administration and assured him of their commitment towards securing a resounding victory for his re-election bid in 2027.

The event also witnessed a significant political realignment, as large numbers of decampees from across the nine Local Government Areas of Kogi East renounced their former political affiliations and formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC). These new members pledged their full support for the Ododo-led administration and its developmental vision for the state.

Chief Dr. Habibat Oyiza, in her address, commended the impressive turnout and the spirit of unity and purpose displayed by the people of Olamaboro. She also praised the new APC members for their bold decision and reaffirmed that the administration of Governor Ododo remains committed to inclusive development and people-oriented governance.

Education Secretary Agungu Daniel Donates New School Band to LGEA Primary School Igoti, Commends Governor Ododo’s Support for Education

The Education Secretary of Olamaboro Local Government, Honourable Comrade Agungu Daniel, today visited LGEA Primary School, Igoti, alongside the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Honourable Adoja Yahaya. The visit, which drew the presence of community leaders, youths, and women, was aimed at presenting the school with a brand-new school band generously donated by Mallam Tairu Abdulsalam, courtesy of Honourable Comrade Agungu Daniel.

In his remarks, Hon. Agungu Daniel expressed deep appreciation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , and the Executive Chairman of Olamaboro LGA, Hon. Comrade Comr Ameh Williams , for their unwavering support towards education across the state. He commended the Governor for motivating teachers through the prompt payment of salaries and also lauded the SUBEB Chairman, Hon. Abdulrazak Mohammed Yusuf, for his continued support since his assumption of office. He further mobilized Kogites to sustain their support for the Ododo-led administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Representing the Executive Chairman, the Supervisory Councillor for Education, Hon. Adoja Yahaya, hailed Hon. Agungu Daniel for his proactive approach, describing him as the kind of leader Olamaboro needs at this moment. He praised the Governor for his people-centered leadership, which has positively impacted education, infrastructure, rural and urban development. He further commended Honourable Ameh Williams for providing a secure and enabling environment that fosters educational growth.

The PTA Chairman of LGEA Primary School, Igoti, also extended heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Agungu Daniel, describing his gesture as historic, noting that no Education Secretary in the history of Olamaboro has ever shown such remarkable concern for students’ welfare. He prayed for God’s protection and blessings upon him.
