You need to ask!
(Luke 18:35-43)

I'm sure we ourselves do this?
A situation whereby we don't give someone something because they didn't ask us....yeah we do it right? When they asked we'd give and if they don't ask, we mind our business.

I want to relate this.

The Holy spirit is gentle, he doesn't barge, he waits for us to acknowledge him.
Not that He doesn't know that we need those things oo, He knows but wants us to acknowledge him enough to ask.

Luke 18:41
Jesus, when he ordered the blind beggar to be brought unto him asked, "What will thou that I shall do unto thee?"

(What do you want me to do for you?)
Obviously, Jesus saw that the beggar was blind and what he needed was Sight! Yet He needed to hear His request.

The blind beggar answered him... "Lord that I may receive my sight."
Immediately, he received his sight and glorified God.

What's my point?
Just as we ourselves sometimes would not want to give or render help unless we are being asked, the Holy spirit wants us to acknowledge and ask Him(place our request before Him)before He can answer/give us. Not for anything but because He is gentle and not forceful.πŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ™πŸΎ

Jesus knew the beggar was blind and needed sight yet he needed to hear his request.

(Luke 11:9)
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

So we need to ask!
May the Lord help us all IJN! πŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ™πŸΎ

There are times when I wouldn't call a person because I did something wrong to them, I'd feel guilty and see my calls unworthy to be picked by them. Meanwhile there are waiting for me to apologize and I was there feeling unworthy.

This is what happens when we commit sin, we feel guilty and see ourselves unworthy to kneel before God, we feel like the Holy spirit has left us, No!

Reading Luke 15:11-24, God is so compassionate!πŸ₯Ή

You see, it is that moment gan gan gan that you should go to him!
Don't help God to think, His thoughts and yours are not the same.
You were thinking that God has forsaken you, meanwhile, God is looking out for you, waiting for you to come back to Him(the lost sheep). He loves you so much and doesn't want you to perish(John3:16).

In as much as you acknowledge your sins and make up your mind to go to Him, His arms are opened to embrace you.

The prodigal son had seen himself unworthy to be call His father's son because of how lavishly he spent all his inheritance, he had already taken the position of a servant in his own mind. But as he made up his mind to go back to his father surprisingly to him, (Luke 15:20)
" ...his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.

(Ezekiel 18:23)
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

Yes you've sinned, and you're feeling guilty; Go back on your knees, confess to Him and never go back to sin again! He'll accept you.

Don't let the devil use guilt to tie you down!

May the Lord forgive us all our sins IJN πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎCelestial paradigmadigmπŸŒˆπŸ’™βœπŸΎ

This is part of what my teacher didn't teach me!

Another dimension of Humility!(Luke 14:8-11)

When you're being invited to an event, conference or any ceremony, don't seek for high positions, don't go and sit in the first roll!
Especially when they are distinguished people.

We understand that you contributed and supported the program, and probably you're the Host's best friend sister.😏

The Bible says in Luke 14:11.
"For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted."

It is better to sit at the back and be called to sit at the front than to sit at the front and be told to go back because someone more honourable needs to sit!πŸ“ŒπŸ™Š

This is part of why I love the Bible so much! It's so profound that it teaches all aspects of life.

Let's Read!πŸ˜‡
Luke 14:8-11
[8]
"When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
[9]
And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
[10]
But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
[11]
For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

I hope we've learnt something?πŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ™‚

This is why your prayers are not answered!

IMPORTUNITY
(LUKE 5:5-9)
"...yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth."

I'll make it simpler so the post won't be lengthened.

A guy came to his friend's house in the midnight asking his friend to give him 3 loaves of bread so he could use it to entertain his visitor, because he had nothing at home.

The guy's friend literally would not open the door...yeah, because he came in the midnight and ofcourse the door was shut and they were already sleeping. That's enough reason not to answer him right?

But Jesus made us to understand that because of his importunity...

Importunity means a constant and insistent demanding.

Because the the guy did not leave the door post!
Because he kept asking, so he could get the bread!
He kept seeking, so his friend could attend to him!
Because he kept knocking, so his friend could rise and open the door!

Because and only because of his importunity! his friend would rise and give him as many as he wants!

it was immediately after this, that Jesus now said...." And I say unto you, ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you!"

So when Jesus said.. "Ask and it shall be given unto you...., He's saying that it is your importunity that'll make your request yield results.

When we are requesting something from God, our consistency matters.

James 5:16(NLV)
The earnest(importunate, pressing with consistent, serious, zealous)prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

May the Lord help us all IJN!πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

We are of a saving spirit!
(Luke 9:55-56)

"Ye know not the manner of spirit ye are of.
For the son of man is not come to destroy men's lives but to save them."

We need to understand the manner of spirit we are of.

In verse 5 of Luke 9, when Jesus told His disciples to go and preach the kingdom of, He said if they enter a village and they did not receive them, they should shake the dust of their feet for testimony against them. NLT version says ...."And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

Jesus did not say they should curse them or rain fire on their head because they refused to receive them.

We are of a saving spirit and not of a destroying spirit.

The fact people did not receive you or give you access to their belongings doesn't mean you go ahead and destroy their lives!

A short story.

Two roommates in their hostel, one with power bank and the other with a low battery. The other asked her roommate to lend her her power bank so she could charge her phone, but the second refused probably she has her reasons.
Before the next morning, the other had smashed and destroyed her roommate's power bank. Why? Because her roommate refused to lend her her power bank.

Now this is what Jesus meant when he said he didn't come to destroy but save! Our action and words are meant to give life, add life and to support life.

John 10:10
"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

It is a characteristic of the devil to destroy!

Don't destroy people's lives because they refused to receive you or give you access.

That's why Jesus rebuked his disciples and they went to another village.

Let's understand the manner of spirit we are of.

May the Lord help us all!πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

A Touch of Faith!
(Luke 8:44)

Most of us have been battling with some certain things in life, we've spent a lot on it yet no avail. Some are still spending money on a particular sickness for years now!

The woman with the issue of blood had spent all her living and everything she had to stop the bleeding, but it didn't stop.
Doctors and "aunty nurse" has collected all her money yet she kept on bleeding.

But one thing she did, just one step of Faith brought her healing instantly!

Most times, all we just need is a step of Faith..." Thy Faith has made thee whole..."

She didn't just believe in Jesus, she put her faith into action!.

In my previous post, I stated how showing of kindness can bring us miracles.
Yes, Faith can also do this.

Is there anything we've been pursuing for years and haven't gotten to us? Is it healing, admission, visa processing etc?

Let us take steps of Faith, it might not come immediately like that of the woman with the issue of blood but it will surely happen.
Let's keep believing because there's nothing impossible for God to do.
Remember Abraham's life too.

How kindness brings Miracles.(Luke 5:3-7)

I'm sure we all had different times in our lives where we were helped because of a little kindness we once showed.

It might just be that we offered a person chair to sit or we just allowed them to stay under our shade, then immediately, days, weeks or years later, they become of help to us.

Simon wouldn't have caught so many fish if he had not given Jesus access to his Boat.

Luke 5:3
And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon's, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.

Imaginatively, he was like...... "yeah...sure...you can use my boat...let me push it a little bit into the lake so you can speak to the people"

Imagine he had not allowed Jesus to use his ship, of course Jesus wouldn't have intended to render any help.

But a little kindness of Simon got him something he had been striving to get all night In a twinkle of an eye!

What's the point?

Show kindness to people, no matter how little it is, they might not reward immediately but they'll surely remember you one day!

Read the previous post for better understanding.

So let's continue.
It says ...and "if" "if" "if"
"If it will bear fruit", this shows that it is
not forceful.

Salvation is not forced on anyone! It's a decision to make.

Revelation 22:17 And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
It's a decision to make!

Jesus is doing his own part by digging around the tree and dunging it(calling us to repentance), it's now left for the tree to receive the nourishment to bear good fruit.

But while God is waiting in patience and offers chances of repentance, there's limit to his patience. Remember he said "this year also" which means the chances are not much!
You have been given many chances and opportunities to repent, today might be the end of your "this year also "

CCC Hymn 276 stanza 4 sings...

"Mosi tun duro ninu Anu mi,
Npe awon elese,
Wakati yi e pawada,
laipe anu yio dopin,
Fi ika aje, orisa sile,
Kristi yio gbawa la.

Stanza 5 also sings
"Niti iparun ti aye yi,
Mon fi anu fa seyin,
Sibe aigbagbo nposi,
Won nsin orisa aje,
Won lo arakan ati'ka,
fi won le wa do mi.

Let us repent from our evil ways, let's show forth the fruits worthy of repentance and make the decision today! Like right now!
To receive the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Doing this is the only way we can bear Good fruits and escape the damnation of Hell!

Let's meet in the comments section for the Prayer of salvation.πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎ

The owner of the vineyard; God, is demanding that the trees should be cut down because of continued bearings of bad fruit and unfruitfulness!

Luke 13:7
"Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?"

People do not judge a tree by it leaves, barks or flowers.
The flower may be beautiful and fragrant, the foliage thick and green but these are merely ornamental.
It is the Fruit that is of chief service to man.

So God is saying... what's the essence of the tree in the vineyard when it is not bearing fruit?

"...why cumbereth it the ground?"

But the dresser of the vineyard; which likely is Jesus, is pleading!
Asking for more chance and opportunity for us to grow and change, He promised to bring nourishment around the trees.

Luke 13:8
"And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it.

Dung in this context means manure, a fertiliser which can also signify spiritual nourishment and guidance)

(In order for a tree to grow healthy and bring forth good fruit its root needs to be nourished with enough water and manure.)

Our foundation needs to be well nourished and based on the things of God to be able to bring forth good fruit.

"If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

So Jesus is digging round the tree, doing his own part by nourishing us with his word, bringing His gospel closer to us because he loves us so much and doesn't want us to perish!(John 3:16)

His Grace and Mercy is pleading!πŸ˜₯πŸ™πŸΎ
.."till I shall dig about it, and dung it.
And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down."

This is going to be lengthened and I urge you guys to read it patiently πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ€§

04/07/2025

Now this is the Main explaination.

Judgement is about to be executed on earth, the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and any man that does not repent from his evil ways shall be cast into hell When he dies.

Just as Luke 3:8 says
"Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:..."

It is better to repent now before it's too late.
It's not just repentance of feeling sorry and still going back to sin again!

"Bring forth the fruits of repentance" refers to the outward action and changed behaviour that demonstrates a genuine inward turning away from sins and toward God. Don't just feel sorry, show it! Let your fruits reflect a transformed life. Fruits like showing mercy, practicing justice, forgiving other, willingness to renounce evil behaviour and embrace righteous ones.

Revelation 22: 11-12 " I come quickly and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be(according as his fruits shall be, either good or bad).

Revelation 22:14
"Blessed are those that do his commandments that they may have right to the Tree of Life, (John 15:5 "He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:..) and may enter in through the gates into the city".
"Because strait is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life and few there be that find it" (Matthew 7:14)

04/07/2025

I'll break this down into 5 parts, as the Holy spirit has revealed to me.

No 1. "The Axe is laid" simply means that judgement is about to be executed.
So who is laying the Axe? It is God and his angels.

God is the owner of the Trees that are being Planted in the vineyard (earth)

No 2. "the root of the trees"
We all know that the root of a tree is what makes it alive; being rooted in the ground.

(Matthew 13:6)
"...and because they had no root, they withered away.(they died)."
So the root is the source of life of the tree(the foundation).
And note the root also needs to be nourished.
We'd get to understand better in the main explanation.

This is just a breakdown to understand the whole context.

No 3.
"The Trees"
Now what does the "Tree" signifies,
The "Trees" are Men.
(Daniel 4:20-22.)
[20]
The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven....
[22]
It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown...

(Mark 8:24)
And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.

We can agree here that the tree signifies Men!

No 4. "Every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit"

What does the "fruit" signifies?
The fruit refers to our deeds, works, the visible outcome of our life, behaviour or character.(either good or bad)

(Matthew 7:15-16)
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16]
Ye shall know them by their fruits.(Character)

No 5. "hewn down, and cast into fire"

Remember it says the axe is laid unto the root of the tree, and we also concluded that the root is the source of life of the tree right?
So, this means that
the ones that does not bring forth good fruit will be hewn from its root and be cast in to fire(would when they die be cast into HellπŸ”₯).

I'm sure we are now conversant with meaning of the Axe, Roots, Trees, Fruits and Fire?

We'd continue in my next post.....βœπŸΎπŸ™‡πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ™ŒπŸΎ
