It's high time you stopped living in Darkness...
(John 1:4)
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

One will still continue to live a life in darkness if one refuses to believe in Christ.

In Christ is Life, and that Life is what will give you Light. The only way one can have that Life is by believing in Christ Jesus. If you believe in Christ, you have the Life. If you don't believe then you don't have Life(Which means one is dead).
Paul was referring to the Ephesians, who were once unbelievers but now believe in Christ. He said " You hath he Quickened(to quicken mean to give Life to something) Who were dead in trespasses and sins(they once had no believe in Christ, having no Light.) But now they have been quickened (Eph 2:1).
A dead thing can't bring forth light.
A dead person(who don't have Christ) can't have Light, such person remains in darkness.

Paul referring to the Ephesians again in (5:8) He said, "For ye were sometimes Darkness" but now are ye Light in the Lord....

Darkness is a state of Sin, confusion, frustration, lack of clarity, Lack of direction and Stagnation while
Light is a state of righteousness, clarity, fulfillment, purpose, progress and happiness. The Light is embedded in Christ.
The only way is to believe in Christ.

HOW TO HELP EACH OTHER.(Acts 3:1-8)

Peter and John went to the temple to pray, they met a lame man at the gate called Beautiful. The lame beggar asked Peter for alms but unfortunately Peter didn't have any money with him. But he had something greater than money that could change the man's Life (Power of healing).

While the beggar was expecting him to give him something, Peter made it clear to him pé he didn't have money o but he has a power bestowed upon him that could Heal. And Peter gave that man healing (Acts 3:6)
"Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."

Where am I driving at?

If someone comes to us for help for example, a man comes to ask for financial assistance, we might not have money to give him but we'd definitely have something aside from money that will even be more preferred than money that we can give such person.

It doesn't really have to be Money Money Money! It could be Job opportunities (Ha, I don't really have much o, but I know of a business organisation that needs people to work and they pay well) Connections(Let me give you the person's number) or Referrals( referring people's business to like minded people and target audience).

These are ways to help ourselves it doesn't necessarily have to be Money money money all the time.
It's heartbreaking for someone to come to us seeking for help and goes back the same way.😥

I hope we have learnt something?

Who do you call?
(Acts 2:21)

"Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

This statement is not just about calling/shouting Jesus! Jesus! God! Oh God!...Because it's not even every one that calls Lord!Lord! Shall enter into the kingdom of heaven (Matt 7:21).
This statement is an assurance of salvation for all that acknowledges God in all their situations.

Who did you run to when you had problems?
Who did you seek when you were in trouble?
When the devil came with attacks, financial problems, sicknesses, who did you call?
Whose face did you seek during challenges?
During doubts, uncertainty about decisions and during tribulations who did you seek?

This is the question that matters "Who do you call?"

Acknowledging God, involving him and seeking him in every of our circumstance gives us an assured salvation.

If we are sick or attacked with Sickness and we call upon him, he will save us.
(Matth 8:1-17, Malachi 4:2)
If we are lacking or in need, if we call upon him, he will provide for us ( psalm23:1)

If we are under satanic attack, He will deliver us.(psalm 91:3)

Calling on the Lord is a continuous act of faith, involving, believing and acknowledging God in all our situations.

Calling on other gods or seeking other power aside from God's will only worsen the situation.(sooner or later) (Psalm 16:4).But whosoever shall call upon God shall be saved. Salvation is sure!

Blood Money.🙆🏾‍♀️

In Africa, we mostly refer Blood Money to any money that is derived from killing a person or money which source came through the split of a person's blood.

But, do we also know that Blood Money is not just that which is derived from a person's blood.

If one gets money from betraying a person, it is Blood Money.
If one gets money out of selfish interest it is Blood Money.
If an innocent person has to cry through your means of getting money, it is also Blood Money.
If lives, marriages, destinies or businesses have to be destroyed in order for you to get money, it is also Blood Money. (Mathew 27:4).

It is totally wrong and unlawful to put such money in the holy tithe box as tithe or as offering. It's just like deceiving one's self because that kind of money is referred to as a "Reward of Iniquity"(Act 1: 18).

Some of us are spending Blood Money in ignorance.🩸💰
Hmmmm...

DON'T SLEEP WITHOUT EXTRA PREPARATION.

The Ten virgins took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.
Five were called "Foolish" and the other five were called "Wise".
What makes the first five to be called "Foolish" is because they took their lamps without taking an extra oil so what really made the other five to be called"Wise" is because they took extra oil.

The common thing is that they were all virgins, but what differentiates them is EXTRA PREPARATION. Emphasis on "Extra" is because they were all actually prepared(the fact that they all had oil in their lamps means they were all prepared to meet the bridegroom)But, what really differentiate the Wise from the Foolish is EXTRA PREPARATION.

The Bridegroom took long so they all slumbered and slept. The five wise virgins had prepared that was why they were rest assured and comfortable enough to sleep and slumber. They knew that even if the Bridegroom took the whole night to come, they would still have their lamps burning (because they took extra oil).
The foolish virgins who did not take extra preparation slept comfortably alongside with the other prepared virgins.
This is the real "Foolishness" to sleep without taking Extra preparation.

The fact that others are sleeping or playing doesn't mean they aren't or haven't prepared.

A relatable example.
The general students prepares by reading the notes, but the Wise students takes Extra preparation by studying past questions, going online to make extra researches, knowing beyond what was being taught in class).

Stop playing and start taking extra preparation from now!🤧👍🏾

Mathew 24.
The disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Many will come proclaiming to be christ but don't be deceived.

You will hear of wars and its rumours don't be frightened, the end is not yet come.

Nations and kingdoms will rise against themselves.

Many false prophet will arise.

During that period, they will be killings and persecution for Christ's sake.

After the gospel has been preached to every part of the world, then the End will come.(there will be no excuse of not receiving Christ)

The Coming.

When you see the future abomination of desolation take place, the one that Daniel talked about in Daniel 11:31

Flee and don't bother about material possessions.

Woe to them that breastfeed during that period.
Great tribulations shall arise like never before.

Except those days were shortened, nobody will be saved, but thank God, that days has been shortened because of God's Elects.

False christs and prophets will show signs and wonders to the extent that if the very elect are not careful, they will be deceived.

After the tribulation period.

The sun shall be darkened,
The moon will not shine,
The stars shall fall,
The power of the heavens shall be shaken.

Then, the sign of the Son of Man shall appear. He shall come in the clouds with power and glory.

Matthew 24:33
So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

CHASTISEMENT!

Chastisement is the act
of severe punishment intended to correct someone for wrongdoing.
Basically, chastisement, Biblically, is an act of severe punishment by God that believers receive for doing a wrong thing, in the intention of correction, discipline and not condemnation.
God's chastisement doesn't make Him a wicked God, tho most of us sees those that chastise as wicked persons.

When David had adultery with the wife of Uriah and still killed Uriah, God sent Nathan to him, he realised that he had sinned and he asked God for forgiveness.(the fact that we sin and ask for forgiveness doesn't mean we won't receive due chastisement.)
God chastised David by cursing him "that sword will not depart from his house", He will raise evil against Him from his own house and cause other men to lie with his wives. After several pleading, God still told him that the child they bore out of the adultery will die!.
Hearing all these, David prayed and fasted all day all-night, yet the Baby died.
Most of us, if we were to be in David's shoe, would have taken God for a wicked One and we would have started lamenting and saying "Haah! Olorun ika lo Se fun mi oi..."Hah! Mo de bẹ o oo" "Mogbadura, modegbawe o..."

Surprisingly enough, when the child eventually died, David washed himself, changed his clothes and went to worship God.
God chastises us to teach us, guide us and discipline us, so we can bring forth righteousness and be partaker of His Holiness.
He chastises us because He loves us and sees us and his children. Tho it might be grievious at that moment but afterwards, it yields peaceable fruits of righteousness.✨🤲🏾

The race of life is not easy, we can only come out successfully if we look unto God in patience and endurance.

Let's learn from our mistakes and always remember that "He chastises who He loves"

(HEB 12:8, 2SAM 12)
