When you're just starting out, it can be hard to know what to do with all the advice you get.
Yes, I was once in this stage where I follow every advice given to me by my parents, friends and people around me without having a second thought if the advice are actually good or bad for me.
I've got a few tips( that I have used and helped me) to help you sort through advice and make sure you're making decisions that are right for you.
First, ask yourself:
-Is this person qualified to be giving me advice? Are they an expert in my industry?
-Why is this person giving me advice? Do they want something from me?
-Does this person have any ulterior motives for giving me advice? Is there anything I can offer them in return for their help?
-Will following this advice benefit me in the long term or just help me get through the present moment?
There is nothing wrong when advice are given to you even when it's not good for you (Some Advice do not mean any harm when given but could be bad for you) but you have to make a decision on which or what advice you need to implement.
Another way to make better decisions on Advice given to you is to Contrast Advice.
According to Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad, "Having two dads offered me the choice of contrasting points of view: one of a rich man and one of a poor man".
I really hope this helps you make better decisions with Advice given to you.
