Ade Blessing is set to have a live conversation with the elite of people in the education sector.

One of them is Modupe Emmanuel, an educator, a consultant and passionate about women's leadership.

She would share with us insight on the theme of the outreach to the secondary schools in Ikotun. If you follow through, you would be blessed mightily.

God bless you.

🔥 MYTH ABOUT LEADERSHIP — DAY 6

THE POTENTIAL MYTH

"I believe that people should strive for the top of their game, not the top of the organization." — John C. Maxwell

Here’s the truth:
You don’t have to sit in the highest seat to fulfill your leadership potential.

Leadership isn’t about position, it’s about purpose.
It’s not always about how far you go, but about how well you grow.

🎯 You can make the biggest difference without ever standing in the spotlight.
🎯 Some people at the front are loud but those behind the scenes are louder in impact.

Leadership is not a race to the corner office.
It’s a journey to your best self to be the sharpest, wisest, and most impactful version of who God made you to be.

Don’t envy someone else's platform master your own assignment.

🧠 "Success is not always a position; sometimes it’s precision hitting the target you were born for."

📌 REMEMBER:

The top isn’t the only place to lead from.
Your greatest impact might not require a title — just obedience to your calling.

🔥 MYTH ABOUT LEADERSHIP — DAY 5

THE FREEDOM MYTH

"When I get to the top, I’ll no longer be limited."

Let’s break it:
Many people think leadership means freedom that once they become the boss, they’ll do whatever they want, whenever they want.
But that’s a myth. A big one.

Here’s the truth:
The higher you rise, the more restricted you become.
More eyes. More weight. More responsibility.
And ironically, less room to be casual with your decisions.

Some people imagine leadership as luxury.
But those at the top know it’s sacrifice not freedom.

In fact, in many organizations, as you rise, your responsibility increases faster than your authority.
You’re answering to more people, not fewer.
You’re carrying more pressure, not less.

🎯 Being the leader doesn’t lift all limits. It simply gives you the opportunity to live above them.

🧠 “Responsibility is the price of greatness.” — Winston Churchill

Even at the top, you’ll still face:

Limitations of time

Limitations of resources

Limitations of people

Limitations of expectations

That’s just the way life is.
Leadership doesn’t remove the limits, it teaches you how to lead within them.

📌 REMEMBER:

Leadership is not the absence of limits
It’s the mastery of them.

🔥 MYTH ABOUT LEADERSHIP — DAY 4

THE EASIER AT THE TOP MYTH

"If I were in charge, I’d do it better..."

Have you ever heard someone say,

“If I were the one leading, we wouldn’t have made that decision…”?

Sounds bold, right? But that’s the voice of inexperience speaking.
Many people think leadership at the top is easy, but truth is — the higher you go, the heavier it gets.

At the top, decisions get harder.
The weight is more.
The pressure is silent.
And your mistakes? They’re more expensive.

Without experience, it’s easy to assume you’d do better.
But assumption is not leadership.
Wisdom is.

📖 “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” — Proverbs 4:7 (KJV)

🧠 "It is not titles that honor men, but men that honor titles." — Niccolò Machiavelli

You don't grow into leadership by fantasy.
You grow into it through process, preparation, and proving.
Every level demands something deeper from you.

📌 REMEMBER:

Don’t envy the crown if you haven’t carried the cross.
Leadership isn’t easier at the top, it’s heavier.

🔥 MYTH ABOUT LEADERSHIP — DAY 3

THE POSITION MYTH

"I need a title before I can lead."

This is one of the biggest lies people believe about leadership.

Many think leadership is about having a top seat, a big title, or a name on the office door.
But here’s the truth: Leadership is not about position, it’s about disposition.

You don’t need to be the CEO to influence a team.
You don’t need to be the pastor to care for people.
You don’t need a badge to be a blessing.

The real question is not, “What position do you hold?”
It’s “Who is following you because of who you are?”

📌 The 5 Levels of Leadership teach us this:

People may follow you at first because they have to (position)

But real leadership begins when they follow you because they want to (influence)

A title might put you in front of people,
But only your character and care will keep people behind you.

Leadership is a staircase and every relationship starts from level one.
You earn the right to lead, not by power… but by how you treat people, how you serve, how you grow.

📌 REMEMBER:

Leadership is not the seat you sit on…
It’s the spirit you carry.
People follow influence not your label.

🔥 MYTH ABOUT LEADERSHIP — DAY 2

THE DESTINATION MYTH

"When I get to the top, then I’ll learn to lead."

This mindset sounds common —but it’s completely wrong.
Leadership doesn’t begin on the top.
It begins where you are right now.

🛑 Imagine showing up to run a marathon without training.
Would you wait until the race day to figure out how to run 42 kilometers?

That’s what many people do with leadership.
They wait until they “arrive” before they learn.
But guess what? By the time you arrive, it’s too late to prepare.

💬 “When opportunity comes, it’s too late to prepare.” — John Wooden

Leadership is a process, not a position.
A platform only reveals the habits you’ve already built in secret.
Great leaders learn early when stakes are small, when no one is clapping.

Don’t wish for the mic.
Prepare for the message.
Don’t chase the stage.
Master your steps.

Those who wait for the top to start leading may never get there.
But those who lead at the bottom are already rising.

📌 REMEMBER:

Leadership starts before the spotlight.
Who you are in private is who you bring to the platform.

🔥 RAISE THE NATIONS | 7 MYTHS PEOPLE THINK ABOUT LEADERSHIP

MYTH 1: THE INFLUENCE MYTH

> "If I were on top, then people would follow me." — John C. Maxwell

Many people believe leadership is a reward for “big people” the rich, the powerful, or the spiritual heads.
But here’s the truth: you can give someone a leadership position, but you can't give them real influence.

Influence must be earned, not handed out.

Yes, position can give you a platform to build influence but don’t ever mistake title for leadership.

Leadership is not in the title; it’s in the impact.
A real leader can gain more influence than the position they occupy.

The truth is:
👉 Position can give influence... but influence can also bring position.
👉 Titles may open doors... but trust is what keeps them open.

📌 Always remember this:

Position doesn’t make the leader, the leader makes the position.

This Is Right: Clear Language for Clear Leadership

As leaders and learners, the way we speak reflects how seriously we take knowledge. Many people often misuse simple English words in ways that may sound correct but they’re not. Let’s look at just two common examples that are frequently misused, even by those in leadership positions.

❌ Wrong: “If you are not careful, you will loose your position.”
✅ Right: “If you are not careful, you will lose your position.”

👉 Explanation: "Lose" means to misplace or no longer have something. "Loose" means not tight. They are not the same.

❌ Wrong: “She wants to avenge herself for what happened.”
✅ Right: “She wants to take revenge for what happened.”

👉 Explanation: "Avenge" is used when acting on behalf of someone else. "Revenge" is personal, something done for yourself.

These mistakes may seem small, but they matter. When we get them right, we speak with authority and clarity. As leaders, educators, or students, our words should inspire confidence, not confusion.

This is right. Let's use it right.
