BREAKING: National Assembly Blocks Senator Natasha’s Resumption

The National Assembly says Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan cannot resume office, despite completing her 6-months suspension

The Kogi Central senator had written to the National Assembly notifying that her suspension had expired and indicating her desire to return to the senate.

Although the National Assembly is still on recess, the Clerk to the National Assembly, in response to her letter, communicated that her suspension which took effect on March 6, 2025 is still a pending issue in court

According to the letter seen by AIT News, until the judicial process is completed and the senate reviews the court’s pronouncement, no decision can be taken

Part of the letter signed by the acting clerk to the National Assembly Yahaya Danzaria reads, “The subject matter of your suspension is presently before the Court of Appeal.

“The matter therefore remains subjudice and until the judicial process is completed, and the senate formally reviews the suspension in the light of the court’s pronouncement, no administrative action can be taken by this office to facilitate your resumption

“You will be duly notified of the senates’s decision on the matter as soon as it is resolved”

Senator Natasha had earlier attempted to resume on July 12, following the Federal High Court’s judgment asking the senate to review her suspension. But she was denied access into the National Assembly

The Senator and the National Assembly had appealed portions of the judgment which is currently pending before the Court of Appeal

💥BREAKING! Otti Bans Nursery & Lower Primary Graduation Ceremonies, Prohibits School Switching in SS2
..Text Books Now Reusable 💪🏾

The Abia State Government has rolled out new education policies aimed at easing the financial burden on parents and strengthening standards across schools.

Briefing journalists after this week’s Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Alex Otti in Umuahia, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, announced that graduation ceremonies will now be restricted to only terminal classes—Primary 6 and SS3—in both public and private schools.

The Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Goodluck Ubochi, explained that it was unnecessary for nursery and lower-class pupils to hold graduation ceremonies that compel parents to spend heavily.

Another major decision is the separation of textbooks from workbooks. According to Ubochi, this will enable younger siblings to reuse textbooks while workbooks remain unique to each child.

The government also directed parents to ensure they collect their children’s basic education certificates, lamenting that many First School Leaving Certificates are often abandoned. To tackle this, schools have been instructed not to charge more than ₦2,000 for Primary 6 certificates.

In addition, the state has made it compulsory for candidates enrolling for WAEC, NECO, or JAMB to present their basic education certificates. No student will be admitted into SS3 without passing a state-organized mandatory promotion exam in SS2.

Ubochi further stressed that all schools—public and private—must participate in the promotion exam, while switching schools between SS2 and SS3 will no longer be permitted. This move, he said, is aimed at curbing examination malpractice and strengthening accountability.

“These measures are designed to reduce financial pressure on parents, promote accountability, and ensure integrity in the education system,” Ubochi stated.

Umuaka Asa community in Ukwa West LGA, Abia State, has taken a bold step by installing a shrine to protect public property from criminals.

According to the Traditional Prime Minister of the community, Chief Sampson Nwaigwe, the decision came after several incidents of vandalism and theft — including the destruction of armoured cables in an electric transformer.

He explained that the shrine was set up mainly to serve as a deterrent against thieves and to safeguard the people’s property.

Chief Nwaigwe also dismissed reports claiming that the shrine was meant to stop Christians from practicing their faith, stressing that the move is purely for community protection.

‎“Pastor Lazarus made me leave my good husband” – Former Chosen member Cries Out

‎Former Lord’s Chosen member, Ada Adiiche, has once again taken to social media to call out the founder of the church, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, accusing him of being the reason her marriage collapsed.

‎Ada, who has consistently crïticïsed the church’s teachings, claimed that Pastor Lazarus’ doctrines forced her to walk away from her union despite having a peaceful home.

‎According to her, the preacher emphasised that women married into polygamous homes would not make heaven, insisting that second, third, or fourth wives had no husbands in God’s sight.

‎“You’re a second, third, or fourth wife, you have no husband; pack your load and go. You married three or two, remove the second and third one until death do you part with the first wife,” Pastor Lazarus said in his preaching.

‎She recounted how those words, alongside advice from a senior pastor who told her it was the right step, compelled her to leave her husband even though he never abǔsed or wronged her.

‎“My husband was a good man. He never laid his hands on me or treated me badly. But because of Pastor Lazarus’ preaching, I packed my things and left. I even consulted a senior pastor who told me it was the right thing to do, assuring me that God would provide another husband,” she said.

‎Ada further condemned other pastors within the same church who, despite knowing her circumstances, still visit her comment section to pressure her into remarrying.

‎She emphasised that she would reveal more details about the circumstances that led her to abandon the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival church and the “reality that hit” her decision.

If Ichie’s First Marriage Was Destroyed for Chinasa, Then This Union Is a Disgrace, Not a Celebration - Awuzie

Awuzie Frankline- Said✍️

I just heard something disturbing that Ichie was already a married man before Chinasa knaked with Ichie, which allegedly led to the destruction of his first marriage. And now, Chinasa is the one married to Ichie following the traditional marriage we saw yesterday.

If this story is true, then I take back the congratulations I once sent to them. Instead of celebration, this is shame. I am even more ashamed of the women who stood there clapping and supporting their traditional marriage, as if destroying another woman’s home is something to be proud of.

Marriage should be built on honor, not betrayal. If this is the truth, it is not love—it is disgrace. Ichie go knack chinasa until Amu Na Afusi Ya Ufu . Na him go tire
