The first time I ever tried to sieve pap was after I gave birth to my first child.
After six months of exclusive breastfeeding, I wanted to introduce pap to my baby, but I wanted to be sure I prepared it properly myself.
Since I had never done it before, I asked someone for guidance, but the explanation wasn’t very clear.
I went ahead and blended corn, millet, guinea corn, tiger nuts, and dates. Then I sieved it, using a lot of water in the process. When I finished, I poured the mixture, water and all, into a bag and patiently waited for it to drain and form pap.
Unfortunately, it stayed that way until the next day, and by then I noticed it had gone sour. I had no choice but to throw it away.
I felt really bad about wasting it, so I decided to keep buying pap instead. Later on, someone took the time to explain the process to me properly and encouraged me to try again.
I gave it another shot, and this time, it came out perfectly.
But today, am now a pro, thats one of the things motherhood thought me ❤️❤️❤️
