Family

Is the place where you expect safety. But betrayal inside it cuts the deepest. My cousin and I had been saving for a small shop.

I trusted her so much I handed her my share to manage. One week later, she vanished — phone on ,but can't reach her It seems I just got blocked, days turn weeks and weeks month in my head what happened oh my God my money is gone.

Whispers came from neighbors:she had left town with everything. I felt numb. Anger couldn’t even rise because the pain was too heavy. This wasn’t just money. It was dreams. It was family.

“SMILES IN THE DARK”

It wasn’t an enemy that hurt me. It was a friend who wore loyalty like a mask. We built dreams together late-night calls, big promises, and shared laughter. Then, out of nowhere, I discovered he had pitched our idea alone, leaving me invisible.

The shock hit first. I dialed his number, expecting a denial. Instead, I heard calm betrayal: “I had to do what’s best for me.” My chest tightened. My palms trembled.
The world tilted.

For days, I replayed memories: the way he encouraged me, the way he laughed. How do you trust your own judgment when someone so close can switch sides overnight?
But here’s the truth: betrayal exposes more than disloyalty — it reveals what you refused to see. I thought we were partners. He thought we were competitors.
