Labour Story Part 2 😭💔

So after all the preparation, carrying my tripod and planning to record beautiful labour content, labour said, “MMA, today is not for content creation” 😂

The pain started getting more intense.

At first, I was still forming strong woman. I was talking, walking around and telling myself, “I can do this.”

Few hours later, labour humbled me 😭😭😭

Omo, every contraction felt like my body was being squeezed from every direction.

The same me that planned videos and pictures could not even remember where my phone was again 🤣

At that point, all the motivational quotes I had saved during pregnancy disappeared from my head.

Na only one prayer remain:

“God abeg help me.” 😭🙏

Mothers in the house, at what point did labour humble you? 😂

To be continued…

Nobody talks enough about healing after childbirth 😭❤️

Everybody tells you about pregnancy.

Everybody tells you about labour pain.

Everybody celebrates when the baby arrives.

But what about the mother who is trying to heal?

The stitches.

The pain when sitting down.

The first time going to the toilet and the fear that comes with it 😭

The tiredness.

The hormones.

The tears you cry quietly because you are happy to have your baby, but your body is still recovering.

Nobody tells you that after giving birth, you also need care, patience and love. ❤️

You didn’t just bring a baby into the world…

You went through a whole journey too.

To all new mums, how was your healing journey after childbirth? Did anyone prepare you for it? 👇❤️

I Was Scared To Bathe My Own Baby😭🥲😭😂

Yes, you heard me right.

After carrying this baby for 9 months, going through labour, and praying to finally meet her…

I was now afraid of giving her a bath. 😂

She was so tiny.

So delicate.

Her neck was still so soft.

Her little hands and legs looked like I could break her if I wasn’t careful. 😭

I stood there thinking:

“Mummy, what if I do something wrong?”

My heart was beating fast.

My hands were moving gently.

I was double-checking everything.

The water temperature…

The way I held her…

Every single movement.

That was the moment I realized something:

Nobody becomes a perfect mum the day they give birth.

You learn.

You practice.

You grow with your baby. ❤️

That first bath wasn’t just a bath…

It was one of the first moments I truly felt:

“Wow… I am somebody’s mother now.” 🥹

Mums, be honest…

Who was scared the first time they bathed their newborn? 😂👇

Some comment in one of my post stopped me in my tracks as a ttc mum 🥹❤️

Someone wrote:

“I can’t wait to experience this pain and receive my twins.”

And honestly, it touched my heart.

Because motherhood will make you complain and smile at the same time. 😂

You’ll be tired.

You’ll be sleep-deprived.

You’ll wonder if you’ll ever get a full night’s sleep again.

But deep down, you’re grateful because it’s a journey you once prayed for.

Reading that comment reminded me that while some of us are sharing sleepless nights and diaper stories, there are women still praying for the opportunity to experience it all.

So today, my prayer is for every woman waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.

May your waiting turn into celebration.

May your prayers become testimonies.

May the same God who answered others answer you too. 🙏❤️

And to those beautiful woman who commented that she can’t wait to receive her twins and experience this beautiful pain .

I pray that when the time comes, you both will come back to this post with your own testimony 🙏🙏🙏❤️

If you believe God is still in the business of answering prayers, drop an Amen for someone who is waiting. ❤️🙏

Can we talk about this? 😩😩😩😩

Before I gave birth, I thought the hardest part was labour.

Now I’m beginning to think it’s the lack of sleep. 😭😂

You finally sleep…
Baby wakes up.

You feed baby…
Baby poops.

You change diaper…
Baby wants to feed again. 🤣

So tell me, mums…

What has been the hardest part of motherhood for you so far? 👇❤️

Mums, i need your honest help because this breastfeeding journey is humbling me😜😩🥹

What are you eating or drinking that really helped your breast milk come in and increase?

I’m breastfeeding, but I want to lactate even more for my baby. I’ve heard people mention pap, oats, millet, plenty of water, soups, and different local remedies, but I want to hear from real mums.

What worked for you?

Please drop your best tips, foods, drinks, or anything that boosted your milk supply. 🙏❤️

Let’s help new mums in the comments because this motherhood journey isn’t easy. 🥹💕

My Labour Story – The Longest 2 Days of My Life 💔❤️

I still can’t believe I finally get to tell this story.

At my antenatal appointment, when I was almost 40 weeks pregnant, I was told that if I didn’t give birth before my next visit, I should report to the maternity ward.

On Tuesday, I went to the hospital. After checking me, they asked me to come back the next day if I still hadn’t gone into labour.

That Tuesday night, around 4 a.m., after using the toilet, I started feeling pains. I told my husband, and we began timing the contractions. Since it was also my scheduled induction day, we decided to head to the hospital.

When they examined me, they told me something I didn’t expect.

My cervix was still closed.

The doctor started the induction, hoping my body would respond.

The contractions became stronger and stronger, but my cervix refused to dilate properly. The doctors even said they could feel my baby’s head, yet my cervix was still only at a fingertip.

Wednesday came…

Morning induction.

Afternoon induction.

Night induction.

Still waiting.

Then Thursday came…

Another induction in the morning.

Another one in the afternoon.

The contractions became unbearable.

At one point, they connected a very strong hot drip 😭😭😭. The pain became so intense that I begged the nurses to remove it. I went mad ooo ( ara gbam ooooo ) ,One compassionate nurse understood how much I was struggling. She adjusted my treatment and stayed calm with me.

As the labour progressed, they told me I was almost 6 cm and encouraged me to keep going.

I honestly don’t know where the strength came from.

Eventually, they took me into the delivery room. They placed oxygen on me and guided me through every push.

The nurses were incredible. Their encouragement, patience, and compassion gave me the strength to keep fighting.

And then…

After two long days of labour…

I heard the most beautiful sound of my life.

My baby girl was born. ❤️

Every contraction, every tear, every painful moment became worth it the second I saw her.

Looking back now, I can only say…

Thank You, God.

To every mum who has gone through labour you are stronger than you know.

And to every expectant mum reading this, your own beautiful testimony is coming too. ❤️
