IT TAKES AN EYES PROBLEM TO OPEN MY EYES
Some friends are truly good, but when it comes to helping you out of a problem, thatā€™s when you realize youā€™re the one actually doing the befriending.

Years ago, I developed an eye problem, and it became worse during our exam period. I couldnā€™t concentrate during CBT exams because of the light from the system tears would literally roll down my cheeks.

So, I was discussing with my friends that I needed to go to the hospital to see a doctor because I was battling with serious pain and headaches. But I didnā€™t want to disturb my people about it, and I didnā€™t have enough cash.

One of them advised me to talk to all my friends, both online and offline maybe they could assist with small contributions, and I could add it up with what I had.

Before then, I had been saving money for one of my friends. After our discussion, we all left for our different lodges.

The friend I was saving for told me to go ahead and use the money, that I could pay her back later. Thatā€™s how I was able to go to the hospital, get my glasses, and buy some medications after undergoing several eye tests.
Till our last day in school she never ask,ask how I was able to raised the money.

My childhood stage was with my great-grandmom, and she was born and married into an Anglican family.

I, on the other hand, was born into a Catholic family. But the Catholic church was very far from my great-grandmaā€™s house, so I had to switch to Anglican even though I didnā€™t understand anything.

Instead of attending Block Rosary, I started going to ACF (Anglican Children Fellowship).

One day, I went to ACF with other children. The teacher (Ezinwanneā€”Anglicans can relate) was asking questions, and the children were answering.

Then the teacher asked a question: ā€œWho is Jonah?ā€
(Jonah in the Bible was the man who refused to spread the word of God and was swallowed by a fish.)

But innocent me, I remembered there was a man called Jonah that lived close to our house,and he was a palm wine tapper.

So I raised my hand and told the teacher that Jonah was a palm wine tapper who lived near our house.

The teacher nearly flogged me blue and black but remembered I was a Catholic.

So she stopped me from attending ACF šŸ˜‚

(All through the 2 weeks you had been chatting on the green app, you played along as someone in love.)

She suggested ShopRite and an eatery around your vicinity.

You said nooo, that you have your house, and there was no need to go to ShopRite or any eatery.

After a little disagreement, she agreed to visit you, but on one condition don't touch her. You accepted.

She came, but the reverse became the case.

You begged her like your life depended on it, you promised to buy the main market for her, and you claimed to love her.

After that day, you became busy.
After 1 month, you posted your engagement video you engaged someone else.

Afterward, they did a brief introduction on a Green app, but the conversation faded off.

They live in different countries.
Two weeks later, she decided to check up on him.

He suddenly said, I will be coming back next month. How can we see?
She responded, Letā€™s wait till then and see how things go.

Then he added,
I will land at Lagos airport. I want you to come pick me up so we can see and talk about the way forward.

Now, letā€™s not forget theyā€™ve barely talked. It was just a preliminary introduction.

She calmly replied,
When you come back to the East, we can see

So thatā€™s how you take me? Who am I to you? So I mean nothing to you? Iā€™m not even in your life! (Aggressively)

Confused, she asked,
Please, who are you to me? Because me self, A dim surprised.

He ended the call and never call back.
