Discussion Topic: Is Content Creation Robbing People of Common Sense?

In a world where almost everybody has a smartphone and social media has become a major part of our everyday lives, content creation has become more than just entertainment. For many people, it is now a career, a business and a source of income. But with the monetization of social media, we are beginning to see a different side of content creation.
People are sometimes willing to do almost anything for views, likes, followers and money. Dangerous stunts, unnecessary drama, public embarrassment, oversharing of private matters and even recording emergencies instead of helping have become common examples of the things people may do in the name of creating content.

And this raises a very important question:Has the desire to create viral content started affecting people's judgement? Are people now asking, “Will this get views?” before asking, “Is this sensible?”

Is content creation robbing people of common sense, or are people simply doing foolish things and hiding behind the excuse of “it's content”?

What role should we play in educating our communities and helping people make informed choices?

What should Nigerians look out for when choosing their leaders in 2027?

TOPIC: WHY ARE WE AFRAID TO KNOW OUR HEALTH STATUS?
With Ahec and Ada Oma

Sometimes, people are more afraid of the result than the test itself.

Conditions such as HIV, hepatitis, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, sickle cell disease and cancer can affect anyone. Yet, many people avoid medical tests because of fear, stigma, or concerns about what their families and society might say.

Is it the fear of discovering a health problem, the stigma that may come with it, or simply the fear of facing the truth?

Why do some people continue to avoid medical check-ups even when early detection can improve treatment and outcomes?

Today on Sapientia Xpress, we will look at why people are afraid to know their health status and why regular health checks matter.
