For Your Own Sanity…
Choose people who choose you.
Not the ones who are “still figuring it out.”
Not the ones who come back when they’re bored.
Not the ones who keep you around for convenience.
You are not a backup plan. You are not a second option.
You are not a placeholder until something “better” comes along.
Love should not feel like competition. Attention should not feel like a reward.
Consistency should not feel like a miracle.
If someone is unsure about you, let them be unsure from a distance.
The right people will not gamble with your presence.
They won’t keep you on standby.
They won’t treat you like something they can lose and retrieve later.
For your own sanity, choose reciprocity. Choose clarity. Choose peace.
And if that means walking away from someone who refuses to choose you fully .. walk.
Because you are not a backup plan.
You are the main choice.
