I won’t marry for love.

I am absolutely certain about this. Maybe not today, but at a certain stage in life, you will understand why.

I will not marry based on love alone. Love matters, but it is one of the weakest foundations for marriage.

Unintentional people marry who they love. Intentional people marry who they can partner with. Someone they can build with. Someone whose presence improves their life rather than complicates it.

Not just someone who will come to submit but who will come partner.

If they are fortunate enough to find someone they love who also carries these qualities, that is ideal.

If not, they understand that love can be learned, nurtured, and grown.

But character, discipline, values, emotional stability, and shared vision are far more difficult to create where they do not already exist.

Love can be cultivated. The weightier qualities rarely can. Love is not enough.
