10-year-old child is not your housemaid.
Your own 10-year-old at home cannot cook all your meals, wash piles of clothes, clean the entire house, take care of younger children, and still smile through it all.
So why do you expect another person's child to do all these simply because their parents are poor?
Poverty is not a license for abuse.
If you need domestic help, employ an adultāsomeone 18 years and above who can work willingly and legally. Stop bringing children into your homes only to rob them of their childhood, education, happiness, and sometimes even their lives.
That child you call "help" is somebody's son. Somebody's daughter. A child with dreams, fears, and a future.
The heartbreaking story of a 10-year-old boy whose body was allegedly burnt should make all of us ask ourselves difficult questions.
How did we become comfortable expecting children to carry burdens that even our own children cannot bear?
A child deserves love, protection, education, and a chance to dreamānot pain, fear, and abuse.
Let's stop normalizing child labour and child abuse.
Children are not servants. They are children.
Protect them.
The true measure of your humanity is not how you treat your own children, but how you treat someone else's child when they are in your care. ć
