Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Hugo
Ekitike as Arne Slot looks to recruit a new striker.
The Reds are hopeful of reaching a compromise in the region of €90m-€95m (£78m-£82m) with Eintracht Frankfurt and believe the finer details of the latest proposal, such as the make-up of add-ons, could be completed imminently.
Personal terms have already been agreed with the France international to move to Anfield.
The Reds have already spent over £200million on signing Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez this summer transfer window. Now they are in the market for a centre-forward, which could coincide with the expected departure of Darwin Nunez.
There is also the potential for Luis Diaz to leave amid interest from Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Any departure for the Colombia international would also strengthen links with Rodrygo, the forward who is seemingly out of favour at Real Madrid under their new head coach Xabi Alonso.
